Heck yeah! Two years of notice, I love it. There was no agony for me, as I stopped working 18 months ago.
Why did it take you so long. I literally double dipped for 21 months! Thanks "Jeans"entech!

Don't forget:
Private rooms at Venetian/Palazzo
Helicopter rides/dune buggies/exotic race cars/massages/
$750 car allowance
$125 for dinner $30 breakfast and lunch--(even overnight in Springfield, anystate)
Katy Perry, Bon Jovi, John Cougar
Money to buy Halloween costums
Health club memberships
Feel free anyone to add to the list
Getting a nice severance payment...
Having medical paid....
Having Q2 bonus paid....
The above are nice, but that's nothing compared to never again hearing my idiot micro-manager's voice again on a meaningless conference call or getting an unintelligible email, or having field trips where the manager is a liability that hurts your sales. These items are priceless. When you have a manager that has been promoted above their skill level, the company suffers and your personal life suffers. I am still amazed that some of the Roche Legacy managers could hide within the company as long as they did with histories of sustained poor sales performance and terrible HR records.
You sound aNgry tiny.Oh Please!!! This is the worst company to work for. Severance sucks ! Most of it is taxed too high. Oh and don't you love that your insurance was cut the day you were termed until you sign the lousy cobra package which we received a week later. So it takes them !
3-5 days to process this cobra agreement and then 1-2 weeks for the insurance companies to reinstate you. So do not fill any prescriptions, become ill or have you or family members need any medical attention until you are sure that you are covered again. Have never had this happen with any other company. Oh and check your last pay stub. My car was picked up before the 15th. the last paycheck dates June 16 thru the 21. Was charged for the car even though I did not have it in my possesion. Honestly, Genentech is a company that I would never recommend to work for and I will never have anything good to say about it or its lousy products. Arrogant bastards.
