Warren Buffett explains how a CEO hungry 4 a deal will find the justification- remind you of anyone?

You obviously did not read the post you hastily responded to.

This is not a 10 year assessment, it is an assessment of the tenure of FO, which started April 2013.

SHPG had UNDERPERFOMED the S&P 500 over the last 5 year period.

You are correct in pointing out that you have to go back to Matt and Angus tenure to see a performance better than market.
So FO will have a 5 year tenure with Shire at the end of April. Is there something that vests for him after 5 years? Is that why he is finally willing to leave?

Who knows. You'd have to dig through SEC filings to try and figure that one out. I'm not sure he is willing to go anywhere. Look at how he has been hanging on despite the past three years being the worst performing period in the entire history of the company.

The ONLY time the stock has moved significantly up under Flemming has been first with Abbvie, and now with Takeda.
