warning sign from the road

Just wanted to let anyone who stops by here thinking about a job as a sales rep to know immediately that this is a job to avoid.

1. Probably 20 of the best reps left last year. All are successful in their new jobs. It wasn't them. It was aah.
2. No one gets promoted from within. They made one terrible hire in this regard two years ago, and haven't tried it again since.
3. Top down management by severe punishment. Even cg, who really wasn't a bad guy, was dumped on from above. If it happens at the director of sales level, you can imagine what happens at the rep level.
4. Products have all been in the market for a long, long, time, and are premium priced

If you left and you are still posting and looking at this site..... You're a pathetic loser.
Just curious loser, do you keep track of those 20 reps ? Funniest post ever.

Just out of curiosity . . . . are sales people still being asked to sell expired goods? I think that was my favorite part of being at Abbott Animal Health (in a different division today); having to chose between my own integrity and being successful at my job. The decision makers at AAH should be ashamed of themselves. Probably have cold, dark snakes growing out of their souls.

... many good and successful reps, the ones we should have kept at all costs, have moved on to distribution, way less micro managing and more money, or other manufacturers, where the admin burden is probably about the same but the $$ are a good bit higher....people like JK, ND, SC, JH, AD, to name a few- many that came in on the expansion back in 2008/2009 who have the skills and experience we need to grow the division.
