We quit promoting Novolog years ago. Plus, the discounts we have for formulary coverage make the profit with Novolog very minimal. Wal Mart getting in the insulin game means nothing to us.

A great move by Novo with Novolog and Walmart/Sams. Most patients witha normal insurance plan who need a bolus insulin should get it for cheap, whether that is Novolog or Humalog, or perhaps one of the biosim/generic aspart or lispro. Uninsured, underinsured or coverage gap patients won't have to settle for novolin r if they are not getting assistance via Novocare or the LIS/soc security benefits. This will help many patients.

The only legs we cut were Lilly's for their ultra rapid they just brought to the market. We already don't care about Fiasp. Plus were not making as much money on Novolog in the US. This is big PR for us for cost and access. Walmart is the symbol of affordable everything.

Depends on the year. Relion has gone back and forth between Novo and Lilly several times. Don’t bank on us always having this contract.
