Hurricane Joe is way more deadly than Hurricane Ida!
I think maybe you don’t understand what that role does. You do understand that more then half of gsk vaccine sales are in the public segment?Public account managers(and private but not as much) will be cut drastically soon. There are so many here on the east coast and the PNW from what I understand that haven’t had access for years. Their “performance” is decided by the systems internal decision making or the work of others in the case of public. It really boggles my mind that the company had these worthless positions. Plus, it’s almost exclusively old timers in these roles who wouldn’t know what to do if they had to spend a whole day selling

The adult reps are going to be the first to go. If you’re an adult rep and think you’re safe you’ve lost your mind. Ped reps can pick up Shingrix with ease and become full line. 5 days of virtual training. However it’s a really heavy lift to train an adult rep on ped vaccines. Just a heads up. Get out.
My manager just told me that as a adult vaccine sales rep I need to look for a job outside the company because all the jobs will soon be eliminated
So true. We all knew it based on the current situation. Sad to see many lose their jobs. Take care.
That move they roll out tomorrow will certainly cause some people to take pause.
So when will we know if we have a job after October 1st or what our territories will look like. Will public account mangers be gone for the most part because of their heavily weighted pediatric business. What about the contract managers- without a broad portfolio and emphasis of adult and pediatric vaccines- do we have a strategic purpose for contracting? Don't think so.
Bexsero has reached peak sales and have leveled off and decreasing due to our pricing. We're probably trying to get as much out of this one trick pony up until Pfizer's ABCWY vaccine hit the market in 18 months. Then no one will use Bexsero.
So that leaves us with Shingrix. The VBU will not survive on Shingrix alone.
It looks like the unit will have a very bumpy future.
who says anything will change oct 1? Or there will be any announcements?
People are just talking out their asses here. There’s not going to be any announcements on oct 1
I agree, no announcement Oct 1st. It will be a slow death of the VBU over the next 6-12 months.
