Nice rant, uneducated and uninformed. The majority of reps from Genentech are not health care providers like you listed. muchare marketing majors, journalism majors, teachers, etc.. You are a NP, you probably could not get admitted to Medical School or a Pharmacy School like here locally at Rutgers. At our teaching hospital, we round with Pharmacists and Pharmacist write orders. Pharmacist are involved with MTM-Medication Therapy Management and Health Outcomes Research. Our clinic, like many on the East Coast have said good bye to Genentech Reps. As one of my partners stated "having lunch with a Genentevh Rep is like having lunch with the Scarecrow from the Wizard of Oz, visiting with someone in search of a brain". With
Pharm.D.s and products like Via Oncology, we do not need to see the GQ guy or Hooters Girl from Genentech.
I would suggest you rant to the CEO from Genentech on why he is paying a manager 300-500k to work 3 hours in 11 months as was stated above. After the distribution scam, Physicians and Pharmacists from across the country are monitoring Genentech. Paying people to not go to work is theft from Cancer Patients and Cancer Providers. Now get into your car and deliver pizza or Jimmy Johns and do it freaky fast.
