Upneeq (new RVL) and Visine LR/Oxylin?

Maybe. But has anyone in the home office looked into why J&j discontinued the Visine L.R. oxymetazoline eyedrops? Was it the preservative BAK? Was it manufacturing problems? Single use without preservatives May help but can the older targeted population handle those tiny bottles? Was it lack of demand? Was the cost more than the price? Has an OTC molecule in a higher dose been successful going back to a script?
Given its been one year and the numbers suck, they had to sell the plant and legacy business to prevent going bankrupt, I would say lack of demand was Visine LRs downfall. Now- taking it back behind the counter must be a first- paying more and requiring a Doctors visit and charge for something that already lacked demand is really nothing short of stupid

So JD- how has taken a discontinued Visine OTC product out of retirement and BACK ON SCRIPT-
worked for you and the company?!

You have any more BRILLIANT ideas to spend the remaining scraps on before sinking and joining the unemployment lines???

Does anyone know the reason why J&J
Discontinued the Visine L.R. oxymetazoline Eyedrops if they worked and were a big seller OTC?

Probably so Upneeq can charge over $200 for a prescription-only product containing the same active ingredient. Yet most insurances will not cover it and it is only available through certain providers. Try to find any over the counter eye drops with oxymetazoline; I sure cant find any. You can still find it in certain over the counter nose sprays.
