TSR role gone in April 2011

Wrong???

That post was spot on. Where the fuck do you numbnuts come from?

DSR's are the specialty reps in Primary Care? Really?

The specialty reps in Primary Care are called SHRs (Senior Helathcare Reps). And it's not just a promotion in title and salary. Those reps call on specialists. PHRs call on PCs and IMs with the occasional specialist sprinkled in....There are also several different titles for promoted reps within Primary Care at this point. IHR, CAR, GTR....but I'm sure you knew that.

Come on. This is basic stuff.

Really, you think you have it nailed? SHR is a group of titles that includes DSR, TSR and other specialty reps such as CAR etc. Essentially any promoted rep. TSR's are supposed to call only on specialists(though there is no real restriction) and DSR's can be deployed any way the State Director wants, to specialists or primary care and can carry products from both A and B bags regardless of which district the rep is assigned to.

I'm a DSR, I'm fairly sure I know what the fuck I do for a living. It's a promotion in primary care. We call on whoever our DBMs decide, pcps and specialists. Our PHRs call on all specialties and pcps as well.

Buzz off. I'm done with your ignorance.

Yep. So the post I said was wrong was indeed wrong. Thanks.

To be clear though, they don't use the term TSR in Primary Care anymore. You're right that SHR is the umbrella classification but it's also what TSRs are now called. All the other abbreviations (IHR, GTR, CAR, DSR, etc.) define different roles outside of the standard SHR (formally TSR) role.

It really is comical to type all these abbreviations.
