TSR role gone in April 2011

Just spoke to a severed HQ person and he shared with me that 2 of the TSR's will be cut by the end of April 2011.

He said they combined the TSR role a few months to at least cross train the reps when they make the cuts.

PHRs and the contract force will make up the calls.

best of luck and PS DM's can track your blackberries.

Say what? Is this person who made this post?

Damn. Just spoke with someone that was let go from HQ at 42nd st. He shared with me that all TSR's will be displaced by April '11.

They said they decided last year when they combined the Uro/Cv Tsr??? Not sure what the difference is. This person said this is what they did in 2008 when they combimed TSRs together then cut the field force in 2009.

Best of luck to ya all and the blackberries they gave you have GPS enhanced and your managers can log into the system and track your phone.

This company is going down the crapper.

OMG, What a bunch of BS! I know this board has been extremely boring but to create fiction like this just to stir up the troops. Come on! If anybody believes this BS, you really are the simpleton this poster hoped to incite. And yes of course there is GPS on the blackberries but Hello, You can turn it off. Numbnuts!

I gave my Blackberry to a janitor at the medical school. This way Pfizer thinks I'm constantly at the University, it looks like I'm working all night long, and the "Blackberry and I" even get access to highly restricted areas. Thank you Alfred!

This for real... Why have 2 and 1 TSRs and then combine all3??? Lipitor is gone in less then 8 months. April is the fourth months... So it gives 6 months of sample drops only from the Contract field force.

At that point there will be one newly created specialty accounts rep that will call on high Chantix Rx's and Uro's with Toviaz.

By the way Apixaban is looking to be held up for years. Since the one study was halted due to increase in bleeding vs. Warfin. And the fact that Pradaxa is out from BI and J&J's drug is soon due out. The FDI has already asked for more safety studies over Warfrin.

Good Luck People

There is no need for TSRs. Primary care reps can call on specialists all day long - and get the same or even better results. I'm living proof of this in my rural territory. Surely TSRs feel some level of guilt in terms of their salary, right? If not, they're clinically delusional.

If you're a TSR, you'd be very wise to be looking for another job.

TSR,DBM,PSM, enough with all the layers of managment at the beast of a company. Yes, you have to have district manangers it's always been part of the equation. This to cover th ecompany and make sure reps are not going off label and have someone to report to. The rest of the specialist and the many layers of layer of manangers are nothing more than a way Pfizer tries to make people feel more important thean they are. Not that the reps are bad people but give someone a title and it goes to their head. We are all territory reps because thats what we do. Some are ment to be DM's because they know how to manange people others are just others. Contract, well that is just another story.

TSRs are specialty reps in the specialty divisions. DSRs are specialty reps in the primary care division.

DSRs are just a title promotion and a salary increase for being a good Pfizer employee or used to be specialty psych reps for Wyeth a year ago. Typically, Wyeth Legacy DSRs are very much underpaid in salary in comparison to the Pfizer Legacy DSRs.

WRONG....jesus this site has become painful. people just make shit up and others believe it.

To all that actually care what happens: you cannot control the future. This job isn't hard. Just go out there and do your job until someone tells you to stop. In the meantime enjoy the short work days and weeks and the nice paycheck. It' s as simple as that.
