Tricky Ricky Perry Has some 'Splainin To Do

Proof of the libbie mindset. Don't talk about actions and results, please! That's a sidetrack!

Your response was well stated, but it is alot of words that say little about the OP. Proof of the typical con mindslide.

The 'pay-for-play' culture that Perry has created in Texas is what this thread is about. While most cons would rather avoid talking about it, the issue wuill come back to bit Perry - In my opinion, this is only the tip of the iceberg.

Finally, all this says in summary is this:

If you support job growth, businesses coming to your state with jobs and revenues, and want someone in office who knows how to stimulate the economy without breaking the nation's back; if you want to end union controls and their inability to compete in the US or world, vote for Perry.

If you support unions, requirements that states fund pensions, salary increases, and perks far beyond that earned by non-union workers; if you support draconian controls that tell businesses where and when and if they can open a plant and hire who they want; if you want to see jobs continue to move to other nations and businesses to have no faith in the economy so that they hold on to their savings, then vote for Obama.

So where is your proof that this claim has any substance? Only 25% of the technology fund, the most heated part of these claims, has gone to his supporters. How is that proof of an issue? You keep demanding sticking to the subject, but other than posting an article that makes some claims, you have offered nothing to back it up.

You forgot . . .

If you want to play in the GOP, you have to pay, just like in Taxas, if you are a big money donor, Rick Perry will give you special contracts, grants, appointments and tax breaks; if you have big money and want Rick Perry's ear, donate $$$ to him and you don't even have to vote - Rick will follow the money and take care of you just like he has for his donors in Texas.

25% to Perry supporters
75% to non supporters

If he is pay for play, he needs coaching on how this works.

He is the coach and he is playing the GOP money game.

Pretty funny considering the national experts are the chicago machine.

Once again, you edit out the facts of only 25% of the fund going to supporters and offer no proof of your claims.

Learn one lesson from obama - saying it does not make it true, saying you are focusing on jobs for example!

You freak out about Rush quotes, but trot this rag of a joke source out like it's the gospel. Yeah...ok.

I just laugh at how you cite the comedian Rush as a source. I suppose that you also think FOX News is credible - I commented on another thread how interesting it is how cons here attack and souces they view as 'liberal' and have no problem trotting out their sources as credible.

Thank you for proving my point, you have been very useful today.

More facts that never raised an eybrow among the obama faithful:

Over 50% of the American ambassadors to other nations are Obama donors, most with big time, bundled donations

Congress is investigating obama's pay for play schemes related to healthcare reform with a formal inquiry as to waivers being granted to political supporters such as unions. Of course the WH claims they will make the waiver process transparent to Americans so you know it must be true.

Take a look at how MO and Blackwell got jobs and contracts from the University of Chicago. http://hillbuzz.org/2009/01/17/michelle-obamas-adventures-in-chicago-pay-to-play-politics/

Is it a coincidence the SEIU contributed more than $27 million to obama and are then awarded secretary of labor positions. Obamacare ties to unions are unquestionable with more than 40% of waivers going to unions.

Obama also uses pay for play to attack his opponents and critics. Look up how Kim Elton and Pete Rouse got their positions.

The appointed car czar is married to the former DNC finance chair. Funny that Clinton's whitehouse chief of staff, who owns several chrysler dealerships along with obama supporter and partner Johnson, had none of them closed during the restructuring.

-Blago
-Richardson's failed appointment as commerce secretary, after the promises made to him that he would be secretary of state
-Federal inspections as to Obama's use of confidential tax records to attack political opponents and awarding the person responsible for this information with chairmanship of the White House Council of Economic Advisers.

Wrong thread.

This is about Perry and the 'pay-forplay' culture he has created in Texas.

But pay for play doesn't bother you so why are you posting these claims - that have no substantive facts when it comes to Perry - when you don't care?

You are still ignoring the 25%/75% split. Trouble with the facts today?

Trouble with staying on topic of the thread today?

Apparently so.

The spilt is just your way of justifying Perry and his antics.

Please. You can't answer the questions so try to avoid the facts.

Why is pay for play suddenly an issue for you when you've never cared about it happening with obama?

No, facts of the 25%/75% split of funds proves your claims of pay for play have no merit in the discussion of Perry. You prefer innuendo to facts because you can't dispute the facts.

So, what percentage should have been given to supporters, especially considering over 60% of texans are republicans?

You can't defend Perry and his 'pay-for play' ruse, so you use a typical con tactic and try to change the subject of the thread to avoid discussing the OP.

Pay-for play is alive and well in Texas and Rick Perry 'plays' the game very well.

This is only the tip of the iceberg as noted in post #29.

The more one reads about Ricky the more seedy he becomes. He's no longer the big fish in a small pond but a small fish in a big pond and he hasn't a clue it would appear that his "Texan ways" don't gather much support outside of his home state.

"Over three terms in office, Mr. Perry’s administration has doled out grants, tax breaks, contracts and appointments to hundreds of his most generous supporters and their businesses."

Is anyone really surprised about this? Really?

In fact, he gave 75% of the grants to non-supporters. OOPS!

Keep pulling the article statement - still with NO facts to support the claims.
IGNORE the fact that Perry has gotten results the nation needs.
IGNORE the fact you don't care if obama does it.
Ignore the fact this has been tried before with Perry and failed, but hey, when you have nothing, then lame attempts have to suffice.

Talk about 'lame' - Your attempts to defend Tricky Ricky on this thread are crippled.

Hint: Try to stay on topic.

Perry is pro corporate welfare? Who knew? Actually. this type of corporate welfare I could get behind....but it's only one part of the equation in bringing jobs here...and keeping them here.

It's whenever the corporatacracy pays politicians to look away....as they take advantage of unfair trade laws overseas....now that's another story.

Hairy, I shudder when watching Fox Business, and every company talks about re-focusing their money on "emerging markets." That just means that the move of jobs overseas is going to continue to happen. We all got fat and happy, and now we ain't shit anymore.
