Tradjenta contract

No we are buying them

No, the reason some reps only have 20% quota is that their sales sucked for Tradjenta because BI was bad at getting Tradjenta on regional formularies. Look how bad they were at getting Tradjenta on Medicare formularies. Let's face it, BI dropped the ball on getting on formularies, bottom line!

Formulary does not matter it seems. Even plans where Tradjenta IS on....reps are doing a shitty job of pull-though. Can't blame everything on managed care access, or lack of for that matter. But reps and managed markets better get their act together. Some large formulary wins are in store for 2013. If we can't make it happen then....well, lets just say our new PTO policy will be the last of our worries.

As far as Lilly goes, they refer to Tradjenta as 'our' product. Shows how invested they are with its success. We didn't learn our lesson with Spiriva. What's that saying about learning from mistakes?

Shitty job with tradjenta, just as we did with micardis!!

How much sales can really come from me-2 products. we thought we learned that with Micardis and Twynsta. But no, launch a me2 and everybody's going "if only we had....." No, the market is already saturated and as a physician why take a chance on a new dpp4 when Januvia has a stellar 5 year track record by this point. You guys are idiots.

How much "sales" does the average rep do on a daily basis anyway? None.... This industry has changed so much in the last 10 years that it truly is no more than a sample delivery and show a pretty picture to the doctor in 30 seconds.....20 seconds...... no wait..... 10 seconds.... then leave an inspirational message about how the world was changed in that period of time. Been there done that. Used to love the job. Loved it alot. Learn how to get a P.O. from a customer and truly sell because the days of the gravy train are over.

You are kidding? The lilly reps in my area are nice people but they couldmn't sell ice to an eskimo. 80% of Tradjenta rx has come from BI reps.

Selling ice to an eskimo is hard to do, they already have tons of it. That expression is usually used to praise someone's selling skills. Try another metaphor.

Couldn't sell water to a thirsty man.

Couldn't sell a life preserver to a drowning man.

You get the idea.

That's becuase Lilly does not train reps to sell. It's to have the BEST CVM, Customer Value Metric Score, be nice and be seen by providers as nice, not SELLING!! Get off your butts Lilly folks and sell something!
