To the customers of pharmaceutical companies

Dear consumer,

The money you pay for your Rx goes to pay the salary, 401-k, computer, training to the tune of trips every year to hotels for paid training sessions, insurance, gas, etc. etc., only to people who say yes to everyone including the doctors they see, like the one quoted here. They are the nice looking boys and girls in the doctors' office pestering the physicians in order to show them commercials on their computers.

They are in your, the doctors', and everyone's way. Hospitals and many offices have banned them, they would be totally banned except they bring free food and Rx samples.

The above would accurately describe YOU as a rep.

Stay out of the offices. You ruin things for the rest of us

Dear Consumer,

Look into the "package insert" of the medicine you are taking and you will see somewhere, no matter what you are taking, a boilerplate to the effect of "The actual mechanism of action of this medication is unknown."

No one knows why medicines work! We know that so far, they do work. The longer a medicine has been out there and nobody's head explodes and nobody's children are born with 1/2 an arm, the better.

The fact is we know about 1/2 of a percent about the way living things work. So pay up! Pharma R & D is improving patients' lives. Through random chance discovery.
