To the customers of pharmaceutical companies

Primarily those in the United States who are 60 years old and older; unless you call the person paying the bill. If you like that description, the US Government pays more than 50% of AZ's and the typical big pharma company's bills, so it's probably still you, reader.

This will be an ongoing thread.

Understand that:

You are paying a company that hires and promotes people, and bypasses others, BECAUSE of their race, creed, and sexual orientation. In order to fill quotas so as to not "look bad" to the authorities.

More to come...

And your point is? AZ has been doing this for years. Nothing new here. IF you have proof, file a complaint with the EEOC or the Justice Dept. Get Al "Big Head" Sharpton in on it. He can extort money from AZ like he does all the other corporations, and make them pay, if that makes you feel better.

OP needs to quit blaming others and companies for her/his lack of performance and lack of responsibility and lack of a work ethic! AZ is not your mom or dad and your paycheck is not an allowance. You have to EARN your pay in the real world! GET A CLUE!

This hiring practice is rampant throughout all u. s. corporations and not specific to AZ. its called diversity hiring and its good business for many reasons, so long as that person is qualified for the position.

Are you referring to the bypassing of people of Protestant white Anglo-Saxon lineage?

Yes!! We should also include those over 50 years old. They are so old school. Old school enough to recognize a pre 90s sales model with no real ideas on how to confront the out of control influence of managed care organizations who claim to be only concerned about "controlling costs to the patients".

Dear Consumer:

Odds are, the money you pay is funding the fines to pay off the corruption that is settled by what is called, (and this is hilarious) "Corporate Integrity Agreements." (CIAs)

Every big pharma company is today operating under one of these, according to my research and I might be wrong. And they (CIAs) are a big money joke (I forgot what the article reads, is it 19 billion?) Anyway that's billion with a b. Imagine how many millionaires 19 billion is, or do the math rather than imagine:

That would be $19 billion in ALL fraud and abuse of Medicare and Medicaid not just fines from pharmaceutical companies genius. Talk about extrapolating data!! Who's the one who is truly ethically challenged here?

Dear Consumer,

Look into the "package insert" of the medicine you are taking and you will see somewhere, no matter what you are taking, a boilerplate to the effect of "The actual mechanism of action of this medication is unknown."

No one knows why medicines work! We know that so far, they do work. The longer a medicine has been out there and nobody's head explodes and nobody's children are born with 1/2 an arm, the better.

The fact is we know about 1/2 of a percent about the way living things work. So pay up! Pharma R & D is improving patients' lives. Through random chance discovery.

I think it's a stretch to say "no one knows why medicines work"....and that "they're only discovered through random chance". There are probably smarter and more enlightened people in the world of science than you. Believe it or not.

Maybe... Included in what we do NOT know is if years down the road that same medication might cause some serious unforeseen side effect.

Yeah they're smart and enlightened, there is no corruption involved at all, that's why this list is so long:

Dear consumer,

The money you pay for your Rx goes to pay the salary, 401-k, computer, training to the tune of trips every year to hotels for paid training sessions, insurance, gas, etc. etc., only to people who say yes to everyone including the doctors they see, like the one quoted here. They are the nice looking boys and girls in the doctors' office pestering the physicians in order to show them commercials on their computers.

They are in your, the doctors', and everyone's way. Hospitals and many offices have banned them, they would be totally banned except they bring free food and Rx samples.

All anyone has to do to see the quality of the representitives in this industry is look on this board. Check out "the all day lie" string and that's where a big chunk of every dollar consumers and the US government spends on an Rx goes.

Buy generic.
