To managers fantasizing about field time while northbrook sleep in

Do you know how difficult it is being a field salesperson in healthcare during a global pandemic??
Please use common sense and realize that field time with sales people is non-existent in the forseeable future.
Learn to provide value to your teams using other resources that make sense. Don't burden your people with your presence in the field at a time like this. I find it hard to believe that Astellas is actually pushing managers out into the field during these unprecedented times. Don't be stupid! Once Northbrook goes back to work next summer we could begin the discussion about field time. 160,000 deaths and you want to have a day in the field. This plain stupid, crazy, and lacks total common sense. It really is unbelievable!

It seems to me its Ok if people from the saleforce get sick while northbrook keeps safe. This is an incredible bias in our Corporation. Just because we don't work in northbrook doesn't make us expendable.

With most offices only letting in the patient and no spouses or family members why would a manager think they would be welcome? Many offices are limited to a number of people they can have in the office, I am not going to let a manager count against that number versus a patient. Besides, what true value do they bring anyways. Once this is over maybe Astellas will realize they can cut 1/2 the managers and be just fine.

I have told my manger OVER AND OVER that most offices barely will see me, yet I am asked AGAIN about scheduling a lunch for a field ride! STOP!! Nobody wants to see managers at this time

Our area is doing mandatory vpi's with the manager and the customer on the same screen. My manager is also obsessed with asking about lunches. Its very awkward. Everything was going fine unitl now.

How is it that Northbrook will be closed for the next year and the salesforce already has managers out in the field. Someone needs to pull these managers out of the field immediately.

We should pull everyone out of the field and guarantee our total package until this virus is defeated.

We’re members of the teacher’s union.....full pay for no work?
BS. This virus will never be defeated, just like the common cold and influenza will never be defeated........at least not until the election is over.

You sound like, and must be a millennial turd. No work for full pay....that’s the socialist way.

No office is going to let a rep and manager in. Let them come into the field and sit in the car all day. All these managers are not needed.

Who will coach and develop you into a better rep? Who will ALWAYS find some stupid nothing to ding you with something negative?
Most were clowns as reps and still clowns as managers. They’ve always been glorified babysitters and paper pushers, but with all the technology that eliminates the paper they are not needed in the numbers we have. 1 manager for 25 reps would be sufficient for what they really do, which is next to nothing.

I already have it set up for a doctor friend to light into my RSM when he comes in with me. How disrespectful for them to think they need to be in there adding one more risk of exposure. Go set up another worthless conference call, seems like that’s what they are best at.

Great idea. I will do the same. My manager is a big nothing with a personality of a wet rag.... though thinks he’s hot shit. The doc I have in mind will show him where the bear shits int buckwheat.

Man, mandatory manager or your VPIs? That’s brutal. Most of my customers have cut it to one individual rep only on a VPI. No manager no counterparts. Many have put in writing no more emails from industry to “touch base or check in” are necessary. We’re walking a fine line between trying to do what’s left of our jobs right now and not making our customers detest the virtual sight of us.

I kept reading this thread title as To Managers Fantasizing About Sleeping With Reps in the Field. Seriously? Sex in the backseat of my Camry? No thanks. I will need a company Tahoe to do that right.
