Time frame for cuts

ummm, c'mon are you kidding me? the announcement has been made, right? they already know what's going down and when. first announcement and soon after the real cuts...no waiting around a few months....that's just stupid if you think they are going to make an announcement, let people worry (take their mind off the job) and then wait a few months to make the actual cuts. they already know who they don't need.

OP of the mssg above....I was cut last year and heard there was something going on now at NVS. What was the actual news? Was it an email like last year? If so, did it say about the same thing as last year?

my guess is that the ROF will be implemented very soon. Novartis knew the safety concerns and efficacy of the Altitude study were in question. The safety steering com. for these studies track patient response closely, they dont just call up one day and make an announcement, Im sure Novartis had a scenario planned in case Tekturna didnt survive. Wouldnt surprise me to see these decisions become very clear the first week back.....its true, there is no upside to waiting

That's right! I'll bet while we are off this week HR,the consultants and assistants are working overtime on the details. They have plenty of time and had plenty of time before the announcement.

My roommate is on the ZS assoc team assigned to the Novartis contract for last 3 months. They had pre Tek maps submitted to the Nov LOE Allign Team early Dec with 2 week updates and finals targeted for early Jan. Tek announcement was not in any of the 4 Scenarios they were working on. Since the Tek news, they submitted first pre maps to NLOET last Thurs and have the same deadline in place. They went back to work Mon and have changed from every 2 week meeting with Nov to twice a week. In order to let HR, benefits, targeting, and such get into before announcement in Mar, a hard deadline of mid Jan must happen. Cuts look very deep...around 50 % prim care sf. I personally wanted to know if i was being cut, they dont have names as specific headcount is handled by ZS Ass and biz rules and names are handled by the NLOET. Good luck to us all. We should know in Mar.

Here at ZS we in small teams. The Novartis team only has five on it and 3 are married...so, its easy for us to figure out whomyounare talking about and I am sure She is happy with you putting her job at risk or at very least having to speak to your post. KEEP CONFIDENCE CONFIDENTIAL you arse. Hope you get cut!

Interesting

They could simplify their decision making and just get the hell out of primary care medicine. More things have gone wrong than have gone right over the last 7 or 10 years, and there is nothing left to fuck up.
