Time for change

The problems aren't just JD. I've been in r and d or pm for a long time back to smart touch and the toxicity between departments and always chasing other companies has been in the BWI culture. Well before JD. Varipulse getting paused is a symptom of a broader problem with the org. Like other posters, we need a gutting or promoting of people that spark the engineers and every M1 and above needs to go regardless of how 'productive' they are because they are all part of the culture problem that has been manifesting in the poor company performance.

Do you fancy the restroom/tee room on 4th floor around 10:30, handicap stall over at George Street?

I know yous

The fish rots from the head first, and its so very true of what has happened in JNJ. Performative art's and virtue signaling was promoted , especially in MedTech. Its so transparently clear none of them are aware of what is actually happening in their own business. We had a SC VP asking ' what is laparoscopic ?' just this week. Time after time its just incredibly unsuited leaders, promoted because some other VP 'likes' them. Anybody with sense , knows there is no point banging your head against the wall in fighting this tide of incompetents. In 25 years in J&J I have never seen such bad leadership. Thankfully I'm close to retirement , keep head down , take the money, adopt a "let them' philosophy and look forward to walks out that door and never have to come up and listen to the crap from these VP's ever again.

Not knowing what laparascopic is, and somehow getting promoted to VP?! Yikes!!

Excuse me do you happened to have the phone number to order a new replacement company sales-shill car?

TRUTH! JD needs to go. Zero leadership. You have a lot of folks in leadership positions, making a boatload of money hanging on till they retire. They are very cautious to make decisions that are potentially game changers. They are stuck in a world of mediocrity, hoping to survive until retirement. They are comfortable with the status quo And unfortunately that’s why the stock will continue to remain stagnant.
But you and all of are now the C.E.O

Change means doing work and when the average person gets paid to sit there and do nothing, they have no motivation. In EP, NPD would drag out projects for years because there budget came from R&D but they were Supply Chain. R&D couldn't fire them and supply chain wasn't losing money, so they had no reason to fire them. Meiron, Roger, and Mario are the reason the company is 2 years behind the competition for PFA and would have been another 2 years if Beeckler didn't come in and kicked them out. Change means getting rid of these dead weights but until JnJ prioritizes results over connections, that'll never change.
Agree. But not going to happen. The tyrants think their rings should be kissed. If you perform strongly but fail to kiss the ring you willl still lose on your how rating because you forgot that in order to succeed in this organization you have to kiss the ring of the leader and agree with their every word or else you will be cut off and sent away and laid off while they walk the hallways smiling but in reality they are monsters and self serving pitiful dirt bags

Clean up requires at all levels, middle management, directors, VPs are all responsible for the mess which has been created for last 10 years.
And then actually M2s and below to stop feeling entitled and come in and do their jobs and stop fighting with their D1 and D2s like children as if they never heard of following guidelines people to be at work and oh ya …. Actually work !!!

Yes definitely, very high class, and if she does not get promoted to CEO then DEI is a fake charade waste of time. The good ole boy network of Bill Weldon and Alex Gorsky screwed over Ashley McEvoy and Sherry McCoy.
Agree - consistent, smart, and respectful to all !!!!!!!! JD total failure. Time for JT to take over
