Time for change

Change means doing work and when the average person gets paid to sit there and do nothing, they have no motivation. In EP, NPD would drag out projects for years because there budget came from R&D but they were Supply Chain. R&D couldn't fire them and supply chain wasn't losing money, so they had no reason to fire them. Meiron, Roger, and Mario are the reason the company is 2 years behind the competition for PFA and would have been another 2 years if Beeckler didn't come in and kicked them out. Change means getting rid of these dead weights but until JnJ prioritizes results over connections, that'll never change.

How do you know these details? Are you in the know or are you just saying shit? Just curious.

This is also applicable to other businesses—just swap the names. The performance of Med Tech mirrors the 3-year stock price trend... which isn't promising. When does the AD contract expire? When will the J&J executive team's patience wear thin?

I work in Irvine. The drama isn't exactly quiet. Those clowns were kicked out of the company's projects/programs when they lost control of the cleanroom and had no work for over a year, but others were laid off instead of them.

It’s been a rough few years for the Irvine operations. Many of us wish they would put Bodner back in charge of EP.

at what stock price (USD) the top management change will happen?
For the management to change, it seems a total shakeup needs to take place. This would involve an outside activist hedge fund - Daniel S. Loeb (Third Point), Bill Ackman (PershingSquare) or ValueAct to step in. Of course, there are so many hangover issues (i.e. talc, Auris lawsuit), that JNJ is a not an easy operational fix for an outside activist when multiple lawsuits are unresolved.

Varipulse was stopped in the US only. So some foreign doctors I work with are pulling back because they think it's an unethical move to stop a trial in one area but not another. These patients had strokes. What's so different about the American patients?

Patients in Europe also had reported stroke cases.

"The Manufacturer and User Facility Device Experience, a database of medical device reports submitted to the FDA by manufacturers, shows a patient enrolled in a Varipulse study had a stroke shortly after treatment. It adds that at least two other patients in Europe had similar complications."

Johnson & Johnson pauses US rollout of Varipulse heart device after stroke reports

Even if the stock goes to zero top management will never willingly resign or retire. Egos and Dollars.
TRUTH! JD needs to go. Zero leadership. You have a lot of folks in leadership positions, making a boatload of money hanging on till they retire. They are very cautious to make decisions that are potentially game changers. They are stuck in a world of mediocrity, hoping to survive until retirement. They are comfortable with the status quo And unfortunately that’s why the stock will continue to remain stagnant.

What about the hundreds of employees who had retirement plans and were forced to abandon those plans when they were LAID OFF at the age of 55 or 60. Now they are working new jobs for less money, or are having to spend the money they saved for retirement just to pay the bills - basically ruining their retirement. Saw a lot of white, male middle managers getting walked out, but don't remember any directors or VPs losing their jobs.

Let be this from JnJ! Tons and tons of revenue. But can’t keep CVM people around for two more years with Xarelto 2.5mg, 15&20 for aFib, etc. And the worthless ceo got his 117% increase. Meanwhile, I can’t afford my special needs adult son’s meds. Thank you so much! Must be proud, right?
