Why are they letting go of people but hiring in the regenerative space? Why didn't they just transfer people over. Tissue is all about reimbursement. No real skill needed. It's not a brain stent.
 




































Look everybody this guy can count backwards! He must be in management with those skills, keep it going buddy! What comes after 3? I can't wait to find out what comes after 3!!!
 












I actually don't have a problem with this. It is what it is. Management needs to see this and grow a heart. And a clue.

I agree! I already know I am getting let go. I've known for about 3 weeks now. Call me stupid, but I've never slept better in my life. It feels like the weight of the world has been lifted off my shoulders.

With that being said, I hate I am going to be jobless and I am stressed about it. I thought I would be upset, but at the end of the day it has made me realize that I've overlooked my family and other important things in life that really matter...and I didn't even realize it.

Bottom line... the culture and environment at Shire has changed. Shire now thinks that putting us in a "pressure cooker of fear" is the way to be successful.

Well, not that I have a choice, but you can take that pressure cooker and shove it up your ass! I'm going to embark on the new chapter in my personal and professional life. I wish the many great people that I met here a wonderful and blessed life. For the few evil ones... and the sad part is you know who you are... get your head out of your ass and change your ways! The way you have tormented people is ridiculous. And for that... you can kiss my ass!
 












How do you know you are being laid off?

I had a hunch after the conference call and then a week or so later it was confirmed. I will not get anyone in trouble but I'm trying to tell you that the mgmt team knows who is going and who's "safe" and they have known this for at least a month or so. I have an awesome RD that is indeed one of the good people at this company and I have an awesome group of colleagues in my region. I will miss Shire for many reasons. However, as you climb the ladder of mgmt at this place...it is in terrible turmoil and trouble. If you are "safe" then I am proud for you. The only advice I can give you is to work hard and stay focused on jumping ship. Good Luck!!

Wow this post is scary. I have always felt my RD cares about us and goes above and beyond. She claims she doesn't know. I believe her over you but this is scary.
 






This is a fellow rep from ENDO who has a few friends at Shire. We just laid off 260 in September (last week of Sep) and they annouced this the last week of July (lay offs).

In regards to the last poster---THEY KNOW. Your RD's might be great people--but they know who is going and who is being cut. We went through the EXACT same thing. Who will know last (or first before you; however you want to look at it) is your DM. They will know before you do and I am sure they DO NOT know yet. But the RD's know.
