please tell more. Is it attainable?
Current call plan (particularly rural territories) has been set up from the get go to fail--------absolutely NO common sense business rules were followed in creating this plan. Basically those with large rural territories with just s few targets in each town that is 2-3 hours drive time away from each other will be ground down little by little each day in a futile attempt to meet call goals. This plan is utterly ridiculous and therefore meets the criteria as a solid business plan for Sanofi. When will this wanton waste of sales resources end? And to what end does Sanofi achieve in driving its remaining viable sales force into the ground?????? Freaking unbelievable!!!
Got to think outside of the box. A phone call is a call. Try 5 phone calls daily and 3 face to face and you'll meet goal. No problem. EzeepeezeeAttainable? Possibly. If you're not concerned about meeting the IC plan. In a City- maybe. Rural- no way. 2-3 hours away to see 1 Dr 6 times but not aligned to other important customers in the same town/office with years of office Intel/ relationships but direction is not aligned to them, not sample them, drive 2 more hours and see a customer that has very low basal volume. Recipe for a HUGE loss of actually meeting REAL customer needs , maintaining sample needs, and in turn IC goals.

Next month they are switching it up. They are creating a plan to have reps take planes to opposite coasts in order to keep it fresh and improve the scores. Some of you will be selling Gold Bond foot cream. Others the new neck firming cream. I am on home study now. The neck cream improved firmness of the neck by 67%. Now I just have to fly to California every morning to tell my accounts that. I am not being paid on sales goals but rather how many flights I catch to far away Gold Bond Neck Firming Cream Targets in other states.So true, but to make it even worse we drive 6 hours to towns that already have 8 reps living there but have no targets in their own home towns but instead drive four hours to reach theirs in another part of our state...good grief this is dumb! Anyone who agreed to these alignments should be fired, but with Sanofi they were more than likely promoted.

We were called out constantly for failing to meet useless metrics even though we were pulling over 130% goal attainment.
i am thinking he did not work in the middle Atlantic geographyBest boss ever was a guy who's last name was Brilliant despite the fact that he was dumb as a box of rocks (his nickname was "Not So" and is not so brilliant). His saving grace is that he knew he was not very bright but he had a knack for picking people who were and just leaving them alone. He would pass out assignments to get things done, some times very difficult assignments, and then leave people to their own devices while he focused on keeping the micromanager he worked for at bay. Everybody was happy.

Switched away from my long term territory and loyal customers to a geography situation where new call list is more than 30% no see but podmates get all snotty if I go out of route.
Abl obsessed with call plan adherence regardless of facts on the ground. Insists on 9 calls a day despite new territory with tons of docs that should have been CASFed long ago.
