This job blows

No, just grew up poor, paid my way through college and 1st job post college was selling copiers in the hood. You guys are all a bunch of whining pussies..

How does one sell copiers "in the hood"? Do you go door to door? Do gangsters have a national account and does a corporate account manager work at the gangster CEO level? Do you sell to both the Bloods and the Crips or would that go against so some of non-compete clause? Where does Sugg Knight or Ice Cube come into the equation?

Copiers in the Hood - to a movie theater June 2015... The story of a poor kid who had to make his way through college by selling Copiers in the Hood.

that is too funny!! I've heard copy machine sales is horrible but also the best way to get into medical sales. I'm trying to get into med sales and it seems as though every medical device co out there hires people right out of copy machine sales so go figure. I guess if you can sell them you can sell anything.

Oh....forgive me. Since you sold copiers "in the hood", you must have the answers as to why we are going to bounce back this year? Explain to all of us then why a company that has been steadily declining since 2008 is suddenly going to turn the corner? Did we innovate a remarkable new product? Will procedure growth suddenly increase? Are we expanding into new procedures like we did 10 years ago for lap hyster, lap colon, and lap bariatrics? Have we figured out an answer to our patent issues with our staplers and China yet? What about our staple line formation concerns with AMP? (oops, you weren't here for that, it was the product name for our powered stapler)

Stop with the "I grew up poor routine". Who cares? I paid my way through college as well. Big deal.

Enjoy your 90K a year package. That's probably a step up from copiers. Congrats.

Of course the company has issues dimwit. Duh. Your defeatist, negative attitude epitomizes why you are a whining pussy as I alluded to earlier.

Templates paper coffee wollah poof!

Must be a manager.

Probably thinks that trocars and Harmonic aren't commodities too...

Also thinks that reprocessing is just a "faze".

Is the Harmonic just a commodity; If it is then patents would be invalid and product features and benefits would all be the same. Wouldn't it also be a dangerous path to take with Applied coming out with it's own energy device and Medtronic/Covidien merging? That's my bone of contention.

Applied isnt a real player. Sure, they may take some marketshare in inner city hospitals where the majority of doctors are owned by the facility, but I am hearing doctors are saying they can't trust Applied due to past experiences with their cheap products. A trocar or Alexis retractor is one thing, but a energy device responsible for cutting/coagulating a patient's vessels is something totally different. One of my co-workers told me last month Applied started trialling the Voyant in his territory and it was having more than just 1 or 2 issues.

Ethicon fears Covidien

Speaking about blowing, my coworker is known to "blow" for business. Heard she is pretty damn good too. It's s good thing she doesn't only take care of the doctors. I might need to give her a try.
