August: Layoff's 8-12%- worst preformers on the teams- the guys that don't work. They will get that severance package they signed last year. Their stocks vests and they leave quietly, happy and with money in their pocket..
A couple days later: New company is formed- you're all happy because you made the cut.
6 months later: (watch for an early POA in February) New CEO tells you that some cuts have to be made. "it's just not working the way they wanted. Saphris is a crapper and no one will buy the COPD products from us. we have to make up for it somewhere"
Same day: you're all notified again that layoffs will happen in 60 days.

We were notified that there are going to be layoffs way before June. In fact, I found out in Feburary when my DM told me we got bought out.
August there will be layoffs...op got this one right...kind of. From the sound of it looks like we will find out end of July.
A couple days later new company is formed. Wrong again. We were formed July 1st.

Was there an official layoff notice in Feb or was it just heresay? Did you get the official word in June POA or did you have some secret meeting before hand? Have they officially told you when layoffs were going to happen exactly or do you have a date? Have you received an official offer stating you work for Act or are you in the same boat as the rest of the frx clones? Because you don't have exact answers to these questions the OP's prediction still holds true.
Once you get that letter (or not) you will no longer work for frx and everything changes for you. 6 months down the road you will go through this all over again (as I predicted) and all you'll have left is a gold coin. Or a crappy severance. Or a crappy job. Which is exactly what pharma is.
