Hanging on to the clinical heritage of a knee is how marketing deflects from lack of new product. Exactech has updated their knee over the past 20 years they are just behind in offering features that surgeons are asking for. Depuy still offers the sigma with old poly and LCS. Zimmer still has nexgen with old poly. Those have long clinical histories and are an option for those reps. Most companies hold on to legacy products for surgeons who are happy and also for low cost options. A lot of my surgeons thought 1mm increments were overkill until they used it. Guess what, they love it and we the option all they time. How many surgeons are converted to exactech each year based on the clinical heritage argument. I would be willing to bet none. Most people use exactech knees based on money(low cost, pod, consultant) or a strong rep relationship.

Joke of a company. Not a threat to any legitimate implant company in the industry. Even the surgeons that went through the residency at the University of Florida and were forced to use this crap get out of there in to private practice and use the big boys!!
It is a company that will never be purchased because they offer absolutely no value to its competitors. They will eventually one day die off.
I left them years ago and yes watch out for the regional Darrell Lackey! Every post that is above this is true. He has been in my territory trying to take business away with lies to my surgeons. I wouldn't work for him to save my life.

I believe the deal is blaming the sales model for the failings of the company.
jest heard there is strong consideration to decrease commissions to principals. This will be the demise of this company if they do that. let your voices be heard
Never worked with DL however the sr. Leadership from Bill S is where it all starts. As a company we are getting our ass kicked. Shareholders clearly are satisfied with poor results because they don't exercise the right to make leadership changes that will make a difference. Make a change if for no other reason than making a change at this point. Geez we have shitty products and no contracts. Wake up Billy.....your the issue.
