This company is a mess...

I have not worked at Alkermes in a few years and just checked in on Cafe Pharma to see how the company is doing, because the stocks I own are nearly worthless.

I can not believe how negative this company has become. Cafe Pharma is not the most positive site, but this place sounds like hell on earth.

If you all hate it there so much, why don’t you leave. I have a few friends I reached out to that still work there and they said it is miserable. How can you live like this every day?

It is pretty obvious the company is tanking, but stick with it and hope for a package or get out now.

Today’s update on Health Systems was shocking. I feel for the guy but that’s a private matter. Leaders shouldn’t share vulnerabilities like that in such a forum; undermines confidence in the organization. It’s time to leave.

Disagree. Today’s update was refreshing honest leadership. You should leave because you support patients only to hit your numbers. Go sell some cars.

Major shake ups in leadership and an admission of a matter that should remain private?!!!? Refreshingly foolish to admit in light of the shape of this company. There was no reason to share that and with what you should know about addiction there was probably more issues than what was shared. Would you board a flight with a captain that has an admitted problem like this?

What in the world are you talking about?

Yes because I’m not an arrogant judgemental prick. Nobody’s perfect including you. Sooner you realize that the further you’ll get in life.

I couldn't disagree with you more. I have a renewed respect for the individual and for this company. Perhaps you should do a little bit of a gut check and see if you are working for the right company. We make products that help people with true diseases. Your comment just adds to the stigma that is associated with some of the afflictions the medications we make treat.

I think it is great to work for a company that practices what we preach. My loyalty for this company was strengthened since the information was shared and my motivation to do all I can to help get the medications we make to the appropriate patients that can be helped by them has increased as well.

Ass kissing tool

I agree, you are a fool to think society is empathetic and forgiving. It’s not about stigma it’s about leadership. If you can’t manage yourself you shouldn’t be at the helm of an organization. The fact that we make products to support this disease makes it even worse. I wonder how you’d feel if your performance review was conducted by a drunk and you disagreed with their judgement. Business is all about appearances and this doesn’t look good at all.
Of course we hope he gets the help he needs but he shouldn’t be leading with this issue.

And what are you addicted to?

What you hate in others is actually what you hate about yourself.

You would be well served to take a hard look in the mirror and learn what the real source of your anger is.

You would be well served to know that this is a business leadership issue, not some philosophical fairy dust, feel good bullshit. What I hate is the appearance of incompetence and recklessness senior leadership exemplifies. You know nothing about business, the company isn’t projected to be profitable until 3 years from now. We don’t need this distraction. We need change management to grow our business, not someone who should be on Vivitrol in leadership.

You are confused. You talk about business as if your concern is objective fact. But your concern is not objective. Your concern is appearances, which by definition are subjective.

Everything you’re expressing is related to your subjective opinion, which is obviously biased by some part of yourself that you hate. You’re not even aware of what it is.

You need to come to terms with the reality that what you hate about this person is actually what you hate about yourself. You have a lot of work to do, but that’s a good place to start.

You dummy. I hate people like you that are such ass kissers. “Your motivation to do all I can to help the appropriate patients”. Are you kidding me? If you are that passionate, why don’t you quit your fluffy pharma job and go work for a nonprofit helping people? God you are a huge douche.
