Haha. Those internal hires are the losers that can't get jobs anywhere else. Oh and there are no external candidates because everyone in the industry knows this place is full of fucking losers. Good luck to you, I'm sure you'll be on here in a month complaining about how you made the wrong decision.
Know this, this company hired 110 people at the beginning of last year (Feb to be exact), they then told those same 110 people to go out and purchase cars valued more than $28k, most of them took out 5 year loans to pay for those cars. The company then laid off all 110 of those reps just a short 4 months later leaving them high and dry with car payments.
Good luck dealing with the fucking r*****s that run this company (isn't a division leader an ex-secretary?). You'll regret this decision and realize that Manager was a fucking liar and he'll probably be out within months of hiring you.

Actually I'm not a "loser OSS rep" that you obviously have a grudge against. I was just being honest with what I see in this company. A whole lot of Egos like yours but in reality all you are is the loser that I spoke about. Do you get so offended because the truth hurts? What have you accomplished in your career to have gotten you to this position, HSS rep at Mallinckrodt? The biggest joke of a company with the biggest losers of reps in the hospital industry. In terms of the "loser OSS rep," I can't speak for the OP, but it's common knowledge they weren't qualified to sell a hospital drug and many screwed up territories while attempting to get involved. It was a real mess and they did way more harm than any good. They angered pharmacists and physicians all over. This is a fact. Plus, this was a long time ago, so if you're a previous OSS rep and still on here, you have more problems than you realize.
By far this was the worst company in pharma/biotech I have ever worked for and I have been in the industry a long time. HUGE mistake taking the job. Incredibly poor management (that lies to you - imagine that!) Guess you will have to figure this one out on your own.

As far as the OSS reps, the one in my territory I have sympathy for. He came on board and meer weeks later was out of a job. He didn't mess up any of my accounts, piss off any pharmacists or anything else you complained about. He was in the field for 3 or 4 weeks only. You say that the OSS reps weren't qualified, my OSS rep had 15 years of hospital experience. You know how I know that? Because I got to know my rep not bastardized him for taking a job. Why you ask? Because I wasn't threatened by him, which by your responses is something that you obviously were. It's attitudes like yours that poison the environment here. So go fuck yourself, because obviously your husband won't do that anymore (maybe because of your attitude) and get a fucking life. The reason your territory is shit is because of you, not something that some rep did in the 4-6 weeks that they were in the field. Go be fucking miserable, we can all see it miles away. Loser

I'm waiting for "Gods gift" to pharmaceutical sales to answer what it was they accomplished that makes them feel like they are so superior to everyone else. I guess they remain quiet because they have nothing to say except "YAWN, BURP, etc" It stings when you get called out and put in your place, doesn't it?
