easy pay for very little work sounds like a good deal for everyone. it works for me not sure why so many hate it. it would be different if i wanted or needed to make a large income but i just work this for extra play money. i play all day long

Didn't you hear the big bad contract manager above tell us it is imbedded in our forearm. They know our every move. Even when we poop it sends a special signal (smell). And we thought we were hired on as contract reps. Let them follow me. GPS my ass. I hope it tracks world wide because I just got back from the Caribbean (do not tell please).

OP is on track.. Contract or Big Pharma lots of reps just riding the wave..company realizes short term relationship for all parties...just remember that the checks (contract) will end a lot sooner than you think.

The managers my contract hates the job. SO BITTER about the pay. Thinks he is worth sooooooooooo much more. Big boob.

One more thing I would like to add. As a manager I don't care too much either. Of course I knew when I accepted this position it was second rate. I work it that way. I am able to manage a team and get everything done in 2 or 3 days every week. This job is not worth getting so upset over. It is a temp position for all of us. Work it that way. I do.

What fucking difference does it make what kind of work ethic contract reps have; or regular pharma reps for that matter? We're drug reps. It is not like any one of us with half a brain think that there is some sort of future in this make-believe gig.

I only see the downside with our contracts. There is a huge difference with direct reps. They have a career and a good salary. We all have part time jobs and are the outcasts of the industry. Both contracts I have worked I have tried to get on with the company. No contract reps are allowed. It states it in the contract. So in other words we have contracted ourselves out of the industry.

Jesus H Christ, dude. Are you so fucking ignorant that you actually think that there is such a thing as a "career" as a drug rep? Are you fucking serious? Take a long, hard look at what drug reps do, and then ask yourself if you REALLY think that role is either needed or will survive over the next 4-5 years.

If you are not doing every single thing that you can do to try and re-invent yourself in the field of medicine, or in some other field; you are going to be completely fucked when this little party ends in a few years.
