I can only hope that the last couple of posters were being facetious. Going in to work at the GEHC is pure misery, akin to being bound, gagged, stabbed in the gut and left to die in a back alley... you know the inevitable outcome, but it's going to be agony until it finally happens. It took a month after the announcement for people to wake up to the reality of the situation ("Just a flesh wound") but now it can't be denied and nothing is getting done while we wait to be severed. Once Valeant takes the reins and makes their cuts they will realize that all of the products that were in the pipeline are DOA and there will be nobody left to bring them to market.

Boo hoo. The Dept of Disinformation & Rumor never had plans or ability to bring those products thru successfully or on schedule. At best it was a ruse for some VPs and Directors and Program managers to milk B+L by playing the game. It worked for WP. They got the sale.

Anyone look at the Pipeline WP generated a couple years ago when they first planned to offload B+L ? Where are those products now? Look at the pipeline pre-sale to Valeant and right now. Tungsten anyone ???

D&R is toast. Unfortunately good people will lose their jobs because the idiots misdirecting the department for years could never make D&R worth keeping. It is a hard sell and Valeant are the WRONG customer to try to sell this patsy to.

But hey. Stay focussed. Valeant will keep the best of the best. They are working closely with D&R management. D&R management will save you. Remember that.

How can you say that??

Every purchase by Valeant eventually leads to a huge number being let go and their CEO has already thrown up $$ to investors of cost savings (meaning getting rid of us). The only way you upper dudes are going to succeed is by making more $$ than ever ever. Ain't going to happen. And in the end, you'll all vanish with your great packages thinking you did people like me a favor by keeping me in limbo for a few months and fighting a BS fight that you had no chance in winning.

That's all a bunch of trash talk-- more proof we're mostly all doomed in the end.

76% of D&R were targetted for cuts. Now 50% will stay. Grobe has scared Valeant into believing D&R mgt is indispensable. 100% for sure more that 85%+ of D&R mgt will stay. Yet again mediocre mid-mgt have scared the new owners. No change of mid-mgt means no change of course. B+L is slowly being bled dry by self-serving individuals.

Based on what happened with Medicis, this probably means nothing. A whole bunch of "leaders" were kept and everyone was, like, how could this be? Then they slowly were gone, either quitting, resigning, or getting trashed. The new BL leaders better be pretty scared.
