Ok friends you can take this one to the bank - the word that I am hearing is that they are going to avoid rocking the boat for the time being and allow costs to be lean and rely on people to continue leaving. The EDARBI launch is what the time frame hinges on. If things look decent they will delay until the end of the next fiscal year, if not the plug is supposed to be pulled before the end of Q2. You've been warned!!!
 








I'm not convinced we aren't going to have layoffs soon. We are still heavy in middle/senior management, plus these pods of 5 or more gotta go too. If we are relying on people leaving(attrition), then why is Takeda refilling these open positions? At least they are in my area.

You're absolutely right. I typically plan my career and/or life decisions on anonymous postings. Please continue to post you're unsubstantiated information, which of course you heard from a very well informaed source.

Good information. I believe 100% that you are who you say you are and that this information is totally accurate. If we actually had to list our names, email address, etc., when we post, somehow I think this site would be out of business.
 




Thank you. Your postings prior to the last round of layoffs were helpful and insightful. I'm glad we in the field have someone connected in the home office watching out for us. Before the last round of layoffs, management told us we were right sized and not to worry. Then, two months later 28% of the company was cut.

Thanks for keeping it real and giving us the information. I'm fearful that if the doc's I've chatted with about EDARBI are right that we will be having cuts very soon.

NO ONE WANTS TO EVEN HEAR ABOUT ANOTHER ARB. I WILL BE LAUGHED OUT OF OFFICES FOR THE NEXT MONTH. Well, Actually the next week. I'll just stop promoting it and try to shove as many samples in to offices as possible before they catch on and complain.
 




You're a loser...I was skeptical too but if you walk into an office with that attitude you will be laughed out of offices. If you can't sell this ARB, you flat out can't sell and don't have any relationships...you should be salivating to make some easy money on this one with reasonable goals. It may not have a wow factor but it is better than what they're using. I've got 30 docs I can get at least 4 Rxs each out of...done, made my quarter and then some.

How many of these posts are from the same person posing as different "responders". Notice the first two posts are only two minutes apart and at a real "hopping" time of night. Coincidence? I think not. Remember when trolls used to be more clever, now you're just getting lazy. :0)
 




I work at the home office and all I will say is that I have seen documents that support what the first posting said. I value my job for as long as I have it so I will not give any more information about myself, but I have no problem at least coming on here and trying to forewarn people. Choose to believe what you will - just know that there will be no warning or information that suggests what is coming. What they are planning is very well defined - but they haven't decided to pull the trigger yet. Odds are that many of you have less than 6 months, if you choose to use this information wisely it may help you in the end. Good Luck-

The problem with Cafe Pharma is any jerkoff anonymous poster can say anything they want (i.e. Hung Mole) without any worry of accountability. The validity of this, or any post, can never be determined. This board should only be used for entertainment purposes only. Layoffs are a fact of life, in any industry. Whether anyone chooses to believe any of this 'insider information' is left to the individual. I vote for having to identify yourself to limit this kind of crap.
 




wait, I am confused. Did Edarbi launch yet? I was in an office and heard a Takeda rep talking about it. I thought you weren't allowed to promote a drug that isn't yet approved? Can I report this to you compliance department?
 




Edarbi IS approved. However, if you contact the Compliance Department, you will make their day by logging a potential violation. They will all cream their jeans and dance around wildly at the prospect of starting a new investigation.

I say do it.

Thank you. I'm worried. EDARBI launch or "failure to launch" will probably hasten the reappearance of the chopping block.
 




Dont know I believe all the doom-and-gloom outlook. Things are looking up. Takeda is actively seeking new products, approvals, partnerships. Looks like just maintaining a middle market share is ok at the moment - no need to lead. So I think it will be at least 2020 before layoffs.
 




You are betting the future on a new ARB! Takeda is fucking nuts! I had an interview with Takeda a few months ago and the hiring manager said "you will be selling Dexilant, Uloric and a new Arb that is set to launch". I laughed for about ten minutes and then told him No Thanks. A PPI with three generics, a new ARB......please! Good Luck! Thank God I work for a pharmacetical company that has some innovation. And never listen to a friend that asks you to interview for his company. I'm sure that the new ARB will get great coverage and you will sell the shit out of it!

Hence my statement that not everyone wins by being the leader. Some companies/people do very wel bey just being in the middle pack and so will Takeda. Rejoice! No more layoffs!

Your right ass rammer....who wouldn't want to sell the 6th PPI on the market and the 9th ARB with multiple generics in each. You guys have the blockbuster drugs and i missed out on the greatest opportunity to be apart of this greatness.
