unfortunately this site has become a cesspool of disgruntled and Ill-intent people. What should be a great resource of help to colleagues throughout the industry has gone to complete trash.
The truth is that no offers have been extended at this time. Managers are still interviewing next week to wrap up panel interviews and interviews were scheduled based on the candidate's availability. So just because someone was out during the first week of interviews does not imply all the competing get candidate were out there. They could be interviewing this week or next.
Regardless what anyone posts on here, just know it is from a trouble-making idiot. No offers will be extended until the week of May 23. Many of the managers are out there until that date. I think it is incredibly sad that people post such hateful and downright evil posts. Just use your common sense on this one. They will not extend offers until all the candidates are interviewed. I am in a different division of Genentech and have a few coworkers going for these jobs, so we know what is gong on. They want the best candidates not specifically internal or external. They want the best that will fit and compliment the teams they are building. No longer subject yourself to the these negative posts and subsequent negative posts that people will put on here. I wish everyone good luck.
 






This is 100% accurate. Like the previous poster alluded to, what would they have to gain telling you this info? Nothing other than to try and help people.
Then ask yourself what would cause someone to leave a negative post? Two things: they are disgruntled and want to frustrate and throw people off their game. Don't listen to the negative posts. Offers go out May 23. Start date is June 13th.

I have to totally disagree with you. As a very well qualified internal candidate, I am being 100% honest when I tell you that GNE has made a terrible mess of this process. I am not disgruntled nor do I have any ill-intent but I would like to see an internal investigation done as there were way to many back door deals made. Many average reps advanced to panels while strong reps were cut. Several of the OCRE managers passed up great reps in favor of reps who had their managers pushing for them. I know of one rep from our franchise that is borderline crazy that is still in consideration.

The main reasons for cutting people were a lack of decision making skills and not strong team players. Really? What happened to looking at our experience and results in the field?

RIF'ed Lucentis reps were given no priority and at the very least, they should have been guaranteed panel interviews.

I will agree completely with this post, spot on. FYI, offers started to go out to at least some internals today, not sure about externals. That is a fact.

You really are a cookoo bird. You literally are nuts. You must hear voices in your head. None of that is true and the fact that you make these bold statements where side deals are being made etc. and people are masterminding and manipulating etc. is truly psycho. The fact is, you were passed over and you can't get over it. An internal investigation lol what a laugh. At the end of the day, a manager can hire whomever they want and they just might not have like you. Get over it.
 












The original poster was spot on. It just took a handful of hours, but then the whack-job negative posters start up again. Truly scary. I suggest no one read anymore posts until after the 23rd. No one is being offered a job sooner than that and you will only read a bunch of lies.

Liar?? At least 3 in my franchise got the call this morning, well ahead of schedule. Why would I lie when I didn't even apply? Glad to see good reps get jobs they busted their butts for.

Let the facts come to light, I'm not going to bitch and moan that I'm correct on several internal clinical specialist getting offers yesterday. It will be validated soon enough. For the outsider who thinks I'm lying, believe what you want, you apparently won't be joining the new franchise on June 13th. Since you think I'm rude, disgusting, a liar,....., feel free to add any other fine descriptions, I'm actually happy that I'm getting under your skin, this is becoming fun.
