Having an incentive plan in any other industry has that effect when you see your efforts pay off. Goaling needs to make sense and the data has to be trusted for a bonus plan to effectively change behavior. Our bonus is luck. Have hustled many years to finish in bottom. Then done not much and won pres club other years. It’s comical reps think they have control over their bonus. Even more comical when attend meetings congratulating all the hard working winners.

Real sales role are heavily commissioned with low salaries, if there is any salary at all. The commissions are uncapped, so go get one of those roles, hustler. You won’t, because you’re a pharma rep, who can’t sell, with a six-figure salary who enjoys throwing a tantrum over how you are so mistreated.

And that, sir, is exactly why Leqvio is failing. We aren’t actually selling buy and bill. We aren’t selling shit. We’re trying to get them to buy it from someone else. It’s a buy and bill product on the pharma model. Keep doing the same thing, Novartis, and you’ll keep getting the same thing. Find out how other companies sell buy and bill, do that, and you’ll have reps tripping over each other to hustle sales.

If there is no transaction of goods and/or services it is not a sell. None of you are salespeople, hence the high salary. You don’t have contracts signed and you don’t negotiate terms or pricing. You’re not even part of the access team. You know that you’re not a salesperson, that’s why you’re still here. Otherwise, you would go get a real job in which the earnings potential is higher.

Not just "get the state of California fired..." but reward them for bringing home the bacon in year one, fire them after the trip (or voluntarily leave), and then lower the remaining reps' goals so they can succeed in years 2/3. How is that freaking fair???

The only defense you can make for the current regime thinking running more spreadsheets is the answer is that the product was already dead when they got here. They can't just sit and do nothing. They know they inherited an unpolished turd, and they know that the previous regime was so fucking desperate to save their own asses they gave the product away. Walking into a toxic cesspool like that probably isn't easy. Their solutions are simplistic and anachronistic, but I give them a small bit of credit for at least trying something that doesn't involve giving away millions of dollars and free product and getting the state of California fired.

This was inevitable.
If you performed at launch, you got screwed because half of your district didn't sell anything.
Now they screw you on the 25% territory goal part because you tried to carry your district the first two and a half years.
They were determined to never pay out a fair amount of bonus dollars on Leqvio, and they accomplished that goal.

Yes this is true! I need about 400% more injections than others on the team to make my high goal, while others only have to get a very small number, but have been getting the same bonus as the rest of us.

That’s just the syringes they fee like counting too. They have the data of who they shipped the product to and who “bought” it, but now they’re going to pay us when it’s “billed?” You can’t get a straight answer where any of the data is coming from and it’s clear none of the sources match up. Of course, they never will, which is why true buy and bill companies bonus on what they sell, the “buy” or 867 data.

The smart reps never lifted a finger, and there are no shortage of people who knew it.
Being the worst one on your team never mattered, because you made the same as the asshole who actually tried.
Now they'll look like heroes with 4 syringes a week, while the people who built something will sink to the bottom.
