The EPBU is a seasoned sales force that can easily acquire new knowledge, we are FLEXIBLE and we agree to train and retrain on shifting multiple products because we get FLEX time schedules in return, which is a must for most of us. We love to sell and we need to FLEX Zostavax yes sir and thank you!! We will prove ourselves yet again, we are cost effective and profitable! I am solicited often by recruiters I have an EXCELLENT sales record in BIG pharma I am not interested, I will FLEX until there is no FLEX!!!

Merck Vaccine Rep here. Good luck with that. Zostavax has been mismanaged by Merck's vaccine leadership. It's doing very poorly and no, rent-a-reps won't make a difference. I'm not dismissing your sales capability, but the bottom line to this is the EPBU will have to follow the same failed game plan and therefore fail as well.

this seems to be a big pharma problem the EPBU's 2nd most important product is DULERA we have no samples lol!!!! NO samples we have vouchers....

I am a real EPBU rep and I'm disgusted in the way this contract has changed. My opinion is that we are getting products thrown at us (without samples) and yet I feel that we are gone by December 2013. Just how I feel and how other reps feel too.

I would much rather get responsibility for promoting a product even if resources are initially limited than marginalize myself by saying I can't sell without them. I would also refrain from telling the world how disgusted I am with my job if I were concerned about job security, as you seem to be. Instead, if I were a "real" EPBU rep, I would be doing my best to earn future opportunities. I would see the history of this collaboration and especially recent events as strongly biased in favor of keeping us productive in a dynamic business environment. I would be proud of our accomplishments and look forward to the future. If I had concerns or ideas, I would elevate them constructively. If I wanted to gripe, I would call a teammate or my DM.

Of course, if I were a troll with an agenda and not much skill I might summarize and regurgitate talking points as you did.

And of course, we all know that you are a manager pretending to be a rep on here. Your post reeks of Kool Aid, it is sickening.

Or maybe someone who knows what they are talking about and likes the job. Why don't you find somewhere else to spread misery and disinformation. The rest of us have a job to do. Cheers!
