This company is going under quickly. I give it 1 year before bankruptcy.
Why?
Remember that this is the first purchase for Miraca in the US lab space. Despite the fact they overpaid Halbert, Frank has been around too long, kept the incompetent "leadership" team, spent ~$100M buying "volume" that has been lost along with significant base business and overpaying people for poor performance do you really think Tokyo will cry uncle (bankruptcy)?
There should be leadership changes to get this business back on track. Wonder how long Tokyo is willing to put up with poor performance and no leadership?
You can change leadership, but that is like putting lipstick on a pig.

I am in sales and I do get frustrated with several different people and departments on a daily basis and I have thought about leaving however the money is to good. Land 2 to 3 large accounts a year and exceed quota and you are left alone. (although thats not so easy anymore). We do have some great leaders and we are NOT in any financial trouble at all.
Did you see who got fired from Irving today? Damon!!!! HAHAHAHA! See-ya sucker!!!!

I'm not surprised, really. He got the lab operating very lean during his time at Miraca. Now they will bring someone in at half of his salary to keep going what he started. MLS is looking to cut costs any way they can, and they can't mess with the pathologists pay because they are a required part of the business.
Everything else is replaceable. Attrition at MLS was 30% last year company wide. That should tell you everything you need to know.
This wasn't a cost cutting move. Damon was just one of the incompetent people on Frank's team. Frank could of picked TZ (where are the cases?), CL (where is the new LIS?) or any of the RVP's in sales or excess pathologists because there are no cases...Really...this is poor leadership at it's best!
Actually CL should go for letting client phone support get so bad. Talk about client non-retention. All my clients REFUSE to call our phone support and cringe when they have to. Always receiving complaints about them.
That's too bad. It was at one time very good and well respected by the clients. What happened? Maybe Frank and his equivalent MD is in over his head. Cindy knows better or has she drank too much kool aide.
Management here just "F" up the minute rice.
You want real change. Get rid of Dickie Lash.
