unreal you folks bashing pharma- they make more then you, probably work harder then you do and arent struggling to sell some mickey mouse mesh- bottom line is calderas competition is the big boys- jnj boston sci- really folks think about it- do jnj and boston reps have salaries? yes they do- roughly 60G to start plus all the commish that gets them to 175 to 200 easy- yes i said easy! caldera- no salary plus 250 for car??? really???

Look- if you want to dance with the big boys you need to pay and this company will never get to that level because they cant and they are afraid too! it is the truth!

This job is for real- for smart people and caldera tries to take a short cut- look at it this way...

jnj training- 2 weeks at home study- 2 weeks in house- 4 weeks observing surgery before you even put foot in your territory

boston training- 2 weeks at home study- 2 weeks in house- 4 weeks observing surgery etc etc.

now who is taking caldera serious? lets see-
phone screen/ internet based interview / job offer / 1 week in LA- and go for it superstar!

its that simple- this is way beneath even a primary care sales job.

First of all....do you notice how small Caldera is? Tiny....Do you also notice they are "constantly hiring" for like every territory across the US? It's because they can't hire anyone worth a shit because anyone worth a shit doesn't come to a place like this.

This last post is right on the money. It is the only honest and accurate....the real deal no bullshit post on here. Caldera is selling a very cheap, low end mesh and getting bottom of the barrel desperate and untrained reps to 'push' it. They are selling on price (which I'm not complaining about that...it's fine if that's your M.O.) The problem with Caldera is its a cash poor, low end company and trust me...ALL the Uros and Gyns know it when they see the low end Caldera reps coming in and talking 'cheaper sling' etc... but don't know their ass from a hole in the ground in the OR.

That's the first major point. The 2nd and perhaps most compelling is what the previous poster mentionned.....which is 100% true.

That is the most acccurate statement here. You will NEVER make even HALF of what the J&J, AMS and Boston Sci reps make......not to mention bashing pharma reps (which I do often) but the pharma reps make a TON more money than anyone at a place like Caldera. Working for Caldera is a huge waste of time for EVERYONE except people with nowhere to go and are starving. IF you have talent, then talent hires you (hence the good companies) If you have NO talent....then you go to a place like pharma....but at least you make money....if you have NO talent, a horrible background (criminal, dui, major gaps, serial hopper, etc..) then you go to a company like Caldera. They pick you up when you are unpickupable. It's the last resort. Unemployment is a better option.
 






Are you jealous, Caldera uses the same mesh as the big boys, we changed ours to be better with heat treated edges, so less frailing and curling lilke the big boys. Desara holds its shape and integrity under pressure better than AMS and Gynecare. It is a good product, it is a commission only job, but if you got sales skills and relationships you will do very well here, no managers breathing down your neck and riding with you all the time, lol. Also we have a pelvic floor kit mesh for pelvic organ prolapse that is good as well and we have other stuff in the pipeline. They are focused on the OB/GYN and Urology market, they have 2 good products and more later this year. Reusable trocars which hospitals and doctors love the less waste unlike the big dogs disposable pieces of crap trocars that they throw away after their use, so shove it buddy, post the truth or don't post anything!!!

Reusable Trocars? Do you mean reusable introducers? Heated treated edges?.....frailing? Re-read the above quote it is so sad on so many levels.

Nope not the cheerleader just telling the truth. Because you can't discredit the comments you know they are true. The mesh is same, we just have some better things with ours since we made changes in 2007 after we sold the T-sling, the big boys haven't made changes in 10 years or so and they know if they do the data goes out the door, but when they are made with the same mesh etc., how does that make anyone elses better if you use the same mesh you discredit yourself you freaking idiot! Okay I will take my $70k and all the write offs, no manager breathing down my neck, no ridiculous goals, etc. I have a $300k house and will be able to stay in it, so what else you got you little disgruntled corporate guru!!!???? That's what I thought, nothing, if your were wasting your time why didn't you say more since you said something anyway, your an idiot!!!!!

A lot of cuts today, looks like Caldera is not expanding they are deflating, the new VP of sales is really screwing this company up even more, unreal, no wonder there is so much turnover here. Premium product with no contracts with HPG, etc. How the hell do you sell your product for more than what they are currently paying for a product, I mean really? Are you serious? This company is a joke!!!!
 












There's nothing "Titanic" about Caldera except it's debt! They're trying to fudge the numbers to cut expenses and charge more for the same crappy product to get a really stupid company interested in courting them for a buyout....good luck!
