You don't need a job with Patterson. You are better off getting unemployment while looking for a real job. You have 20+ more years of your career to think about. Having Patterson on your resume will set you back 5 or more years. I worked for them for 2 months and got the hell out and I leave it off my resume. I also "needed a job", but it was a huge mistake.

Why stay in dental ? It's a Dead End. More now than ever.

Smarten up. Get the old lady and those shiftless children part-time work and then learn some marketable skills and get the hell away from dental.

Patterson no longer administers the Voltera test to prospective employees. They stopped recently.


Not surprising. The people who test well on it are very intelligent, enterprising, proactive, achievers. Those successful types typically drown quickly amid the politics and excrement of which oozes from their management team's pores. Patterson has no doubt learned that the top performers are far and away above the monkey used car level sales position of which they are hiring for.

That is why when they asked me to do the test at the beginning of the interview process, I declined.

Companies that request these tests, especially for seasoned outside sales professionals, are TERRIBLE companies to work for, and do not value the individual.

They are so arrogant that they think anyone can sell their products because they sell themselves.

BS.

Stay away from these types of companies, because they generally stink and don't respect producers.
