That's not true. I am a device rep and I am superior to anything pharma. In fact, when things go wrong in my device (OI) world, I blame it on people who came from pharama!! After all, that's where they worked to that must be the problem. I just hope that no one remembers that MOST reps selling here have a some history in pharma - self included.

Mass hiring sales reps by ex-pharma managers and directors opens the door to 80% of the mediocre pharma reps that were effected by downsizing or sales force optimization. Pharma has good fundamental skill building techniques but their strategies are garbage. Name a few good strategies you have to work with now? Tough to inspire when hiring managers have a limited view of the business sector and manage by authority, because they provide you with nothing. There a few in the company that are solid but most don't have a clue. You don't need a babysitter checking the box to make sure you closed, you need someone to meet with your customer's that understands their business.

Yes he was and still is. Some of the reps tell me he is still asked about from their doctors. This place would go back to a growing company very quickly. Here in the inside would welcome that with open arms. He always made sure we were appreciated.

I am interviewing with this company, I know, I shouldn't ask a question. But it seems like the common thread here is, the good people are let go (reps and others) and the horrible ex pharma people remain. How far off am I?

Agreed. How many years of positive growth numbers did he post when he was with OI? Every year. How many did TG and his group post? How much money were reps making? Shut the hole in your face. If you were making money you would understand. How many incentive contests have there been that actually were paid out?

Positive growth with Santino? Are you serious? How about the random commission plan with no idea how him and Stevie were doing it? How about the lack of growth and constantly declining sales? Honestly Santino, you need to stop posting on this board. It's just sad.

You obviously aren't one of the few that know the actual sales numbers, not the puffed up fabrications they sell to the field. Basically everything Santino did killed sales. He brought no value to sales. Check the reports. If you can do math you will see for yourself.
