if your manager is making you take them into offices or turn on virtual technology for video/audio access to your call please post the following:

Yes or no/state where you work

Mine isn’t. FL. But this seriously needs to be reported. Give HR a call. It will stop

As a rep, I agree this has to stop because to me, it is micromanaging. But I also have to wonder why this would be considered something to be reported to HR. As long as customers’ consents have been obtained, how can this be an HR-reportable issue?

So call notes are not compliant, but video taping a call is?

Bless all your little hearts. Everyone knows the pride of BI works in TN
The fine leadership throughout the region are only concerned with making sure their little subordinates are being effective with our fine customers whether it be flooding their in box with intriguing new marketing emails and updates of our specialized lack of formulary coverage. These fine leaders are just taking a little peek into what our sales folks are doing with all this extra time on their little hands,
Don’t worry your sweet little selves we are only assessing your overall impact and making little decisions to make some folks replaceable by phone folks.
Happy 4th all you little Sales Professionals!

It’s a phone call/FaceTime video. Nothing is being recorded. Nothing is being “video taped”.

This is ridiculous! You’re demanding that you have the rep allow you to spy on their call via phone or FaceTime and you’re defending that? Does the office HCP even know this is happening? Or is it a secret from the doctor? Come on. BI has laid out strict rules as to how managers may engage right now and reps being required to turn on their phone or iPad so that they can hear the call is not part of the explicit instructions. Definitely HR reportable. Stop trying to manage above the rules.

You’re not paying attention to the rest of this thread. Yes the HCPs and their office staff know. I instruct my reps to obtain their customers’ consent for me to be with them virtually during the call before the FaceTime/video call even starts. They either pre-plan the office visits (as you all should) or if that’s not possible for whatever reason, Rep goes in, asks for consent, then turns on FaceTime on his/her cell and I’m in there virtually with them.

Wow. This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever come across professionally. What a ridiculous ask of someone practicing medicine, oh btw Dr. can my boss listen in. As a rep you want to be seen as more of a knowledgeable colleague than a rep that has to be micro managed by someone who probably has no medical degree - it's a wonder you have any access at all.

Wow. Or perhaps I shouldn’t even be surprised at how narrow-minded you are. If you’re as smart as you think you are, I would expect you to be a little more creative in gaining your customers’ consent to have your manager with you virtually. Probably sounding something like, “Doctor, we are acutely aware of your office policy of limiting foot traffic in the office. My manager is with me today and is outside. In order to be respectful of your office policy, would it be okay for him/her to join us virtually via FaceTime on my phone?” or something to that effect. Geez...why don’t you use what’s left of your brain cells from time to time? Smh...

I carry in my car. My manager’s dad was killed in a robbery and he is terrified of weapons. Needless to say, there are no ride-alongs for me. Gotta know how to show these dorks who is really in charge.
