Talecris layoffs

Same lack of interest seems to be happening in research in general. ~30 gone from pathogen safety (obviously a commitment from the company on their renewed care for pathogen safety), all the temps to be gone very soon and a rumor RTL will be closed in favor of the new facility in TX. And we get a museum in LA (supposedly one as well in RTP) and a crappy glossy magazine caled "GO!" arriving soon. "GO!" sounds like what we all should be doing.

The overlap still exists in all areas. The TPR side is barely represented in Operations and your right the two GMs are poor representitives, but don't be fooled. Biomats GMs aren't exactly geniuses.

Seriously. It is only a matter of time before the rest of R&D gets a headcount reduction. They don't have the cash to invest in R&D, even though they should. Plus there are way too many management level employees making a lot of money but not doing any value-added work.

How can Biomat keep a straight face. I was promised a spot and now I have to move. KM is so full of himself. He made the promises and now he won't answer his phone. Is this the Biomat way screw you and not answer your phone. I hear that is the way Singee and Bob are. Hey guys we have families. Sorry to bother you.
