Most of us who stayed are doing ok and will have some money to put into savings. Sorry you're miserable for leaving early and simply pulling a paycheck wherever you went. Buh-bye.

Let's be honest for a second... All bullshit aside... I'm sure if I were still at cubist, I'd be spouting off about how much I was cahing in on the stock, but after the novelty of that wore off, I'd be very concerned about the future.

You don't have to play it off like you not worried. I'd be shitting my pants at the thought of being laid off or worse working for douchy Merck!!

The reality that people who left cubist are feeling is very simple; we feel like geniuses. I'm honestly not rubbing it to be a dick, but those of us who left saw this coming and, many of us, tried to warn the remaining cubes. It was a leap of faith on our parts to leave, but its working out better than expected. I also made lots of money on the cubist stock.

I honestly wish you guys good luck...

Lol. What a tool. You don't think you're immune to that happening to you? I'm not trying to be a dick but that is just a stupid statement. We are all in this industry and we all know how the game is played. I don't work for cubist but have a friend that does and they are going to walk away with a nice chunk of change and this person like almost everybody else on this board will find another opportunity. You're a troll and just trying to make people feel bad. We can chalk it up to immaturity or ignorance. Again I'm not trying to be a dick....well maybe a little. Part of the risk in working for biotechs is the fact you can be purchased. It sucks when it happens, you grieve and you move on. Don't know anyone in this industry that has been released that hasn't found another opportunity when they tried. Might not be making as much but, again it's part of the game. It's getting close to noon so you should probably get out in the field and make your first call because you're a 'genius'. Not trying to be a dick
