Stopped promoting ICAP

FYI-- TF is just a small piece of the puzzle when we are selling. 600-1000 tests. Don't be jealous. You're just not an important piece to the puzzle.

FYI -- you're an idiot. If you had a good strategy for your territory, you would make ICAP an important piece b/c its one of 3 tests you guys make more $$ on. Simply put, the more ICAP you sell the higher your commission check.....that would tell me to make ICAP important.

We have tests that cost over 1,000 ICap reimbursed is around 180. It's a fill in test that is definitely not our bread and butter. In addition they are extremely high maintenance.

especially with the expanded panels that the reps push that aren't covered by insurance. I will be glad if the contract with ICAP is terminated. They can go steal business from other labs

ICAP contract will be terminated with Quest and picked up by LC. Quest doesn't care because they might be acquiring labs that have the ICAP contract and United coverage.

Please stay posted.

Unfortunately no one cares. All the Icap tests that are written are normally sold by TFS CSCs, and we don't care which lab we sell it through..... will take the business through Quest or Labcorp or whatever regional lab works. So the empty threats about contract termination mean nothing.

Good luck trying to get an office to come onboard with a local lab and leave Quest. It's more work than what it's worth for many smaller labs it seems like. I have my local rep running around chasing paper and offices not wanting to switch.

ICAP reps are just pharma reps who think they're special. If they think they can actually sell, why don't they try selling something with less than superior technology? They act like they invented the technology.
Bottom line - they couldn't do it. Just a bunch of cheerleaders…

It's not as hard as you think because Quest is not as great as you think. The better thing to do would be to actually work everyday, and sell something.

okay let me make sure I understand you. you are faulting us because we sell a superior technology? we are Pharma reps because we know how to get to doctors and clearly you don't. every quest rep I worked with is perfectly happy talking to nurses and office managers all day, and that doesn't sell tests. we sell the technology of differential diagnosis and trigger controls for asthma and allergy. You MUST work for quest because you are as dumb as a box of rocks.

And you must've just come out of a training class and drank the kool aid. Labs are sent to labs via MA's and office manager decisions not by doctors. They are the ones that chose what lab they decide to stick the specimens in the box for. Losers learn the industry.

based on the grammar in the above post, you must not be bright, and therefore a lab rep. BTW I know the industry, and if your service, repeatability, billing was world class you wouldn't have to worry about "which box the MA's stick the specimen in".
