Just wait until you hear about the laughable sales training we are going to do. You will have to work with your team to go thru a fake hospital system and get Leqvio going. Everyone know the problem with Leqvio is that it is so hard to get. Even Fee for service with a supplement is a pain. Leqvio will never go anywhere until they fix that no matter how good of a product it is or how great of a sales team you have pushing it.
 






This is a stupid thing to complain about when Novartis gives us so many other offenses. It’s 2 meetings a year. The upcoming one is 2 nights. Just received agenda. Be there at 2:00 pm Monday, leave Wednesday by 2:00. I know they are a pain but this is a part time job at best with great day to day flexibility. Suck up a meeting now and then.
You are lucky. We are not allowed to book our flights until after 5pm on Friday. With my connecting flight and drive time home. I will be lucky if I am home before 1 am Saturday.

Who trained them? Who ran the marketing campaigns? Who developed the Leqvio locator? Who was responsible for a year delay in launch? Who implemented the comedic yet tragic FTO initiative? Who decided district goaling will properly motivate people? Who ran the Dallas meeting?

Novartis is still hiring people with no B&B experience, not paying us commensurate with B&B sales, training us with incorrect information, micromanaging is on provider metrics so we don’t have time for account based selling, and not recognizing top performers. Then blaming the sales reps…

Yes, you idiot. Do you realize how much money they would save by eliminating travel and hotel alone? Oh, and feeding everyone breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Except they won’t necessarily feed us “dinner.” It will be appetizers on tiny plates that we must stand in line to get and eat standing up….after they keep us t until 6 pm congratulating themselves on “their” record year.

The food in Orlando was even more embarrassing than Dallas. The quality of it not withstanding, you forced people to stand in long lines to receive sub-tapas portions. A fledgling startup wouldn't treat their employees with this sort of disrespect.
I get that lining the pockets of Vas, Victor, Dez and their fellow shareholders takes precedent over treating reps like people, and that's ok, but you could make them even more money if you move to virtual meetings.

I'm ok with whatever Novartis chooses. Is Novartis a top tier pharma job, no. Used to be, until Des came along. Yes, it is more of hassle to travel to live meetings, but that has always been part of pharma. We get paid a nice base salary for a pretty easy sales job. Go try and get another outside sales job outside pharma and see what the base pay is. I hear so many reps bitching and complaining on cafepharma about such stupid stuff. Honestly we have it pretty good. Just go and do your job and control what you can control.
