I checked. If the company does not purchase them back (at the stock owners selling price, wich is us--- the induvidual stock owner) upon our departure, we can keep our shares if we choose. This is regardless of the nature of the departure. We can also request the tangible stock certificates to keep in our possession. This holds true for any stock holder (owner) regardless of the reason for departure. The company can not take back something we rightfully own, eventhough it may be worthless, they can make an offer to purchase and it is our decision to sell or not.
