What is the purpose of spacing out layoffs? Wasn't on the call & wondering if there is a business reason.

Probably because one major layoff across franchises would be too chaotic. If I had to guess ex-US impacted first, then US.

Bayer HealthCare is based in NJ and is legally obligated to disclose layoffs. Google NJ Warn Act. So far no notices have been posted.

The Warn Act only has to be filed if it’s a certain percentage of the Salesforce. Hints the 90 day 5 times in a year. Who the hell

Yes, Stefan very clearly let us know that every 90 days someone else will be getting cut.

For example, if they announce this October that there will be layoffs in some specific division …then those specific reps could be notified around Xmas, with an effective date in January (the reps wouldn’t go into the field, they’d just be paid for Jan- then gone in Feb). That’s exactly what happened in my last layoff at another company

However it happens….we have 5 90-day periods and Sebastian said there would be change in each one. So, we have rounds and rounds and layoffs from now until the end of 2024

Absolutely. I think the only question is if it will be Q4 this year or Q1 in 2024...I am guessing it will be before the end of the year. But the cuts will be MASSIVE. I think all of the consultant positions are toast.

They prob can’t afford to pay the 3rd party company to lay us all off. They need a payment plan bc they are broke hence why they are paying us in decimals.
