STAY AWAY FROM SANOFI CONTRACT

Good luck. Good entry into medical. If you perform, you can move up the ladder or jump into devices, OR, etc. Unless you get into specialty pharma, this business is dying an ugly death.

Really? Do you really believe this? You won't be jumping into devices, OR or even specialty pharma through this experience. I'm sorry to burst your bubble! Unless you have B to B sales experience, you will have a near impossible time convincing anyone that THIS position provided you the experience needed for med device or specialty pharma. If that's what you want, you are better off doing copier sales!

True. If you are looking to medical device, stay away from contract or pharma and go to more tangible sales- anything that involves a real product and contract for service. Corporate wireless, copiers, anything B2B. However, the device and dme industry are being hit hard by obamacare so believe it or not pharma is safer.

While I agree with a lot of what you say, Q does have the ability to dictate how their people act. A couple of people mentioned that they were told they would hear by Friday the status of their applications and interviews but they have not. I think you are in a great spot because you only answer to 1 manager as opposed to the Janssen and Sanofi contracts

I've spoken with several from the recruiting department over time, and they are consistent on Quintiles position that candidates be contacted one way or another regarding being moved forward after an interview. While they can't force hiring managers to do this, and I agree, it sucks when managers don't, don't blame it on "Quintiles" as an organization. Blame it on the individual shithead who wasn't raised well enough to take the time to be considerate.

Just interviewed with one of the most unprofessional managers ever for the Sanofi contract. All I can say is only take it if you have too. If not run away.
PS You know who you are.

Hold on a second. You had a bad experience with a Manager (though you didn't say if he/she was Sanofi or Quintiles... just that it's the Sanofi contract) during your interview, and you somehow think that translates to hopping on here with a credible word of danger that people should "run away" from this contract unless they need to be employed? Based on what... YOU'RE 45 minute interview? Seriously? How old are you?

To the opposite, I had a great interview, both with the Quintiles Manager and the Sanofi Manager, yet it wouldn't cross my mind to make such a sweeping declaration one way or the other. Pardon the pun, but you sound like the "quintessential cafepharma poster" from years gone by. "Everything sucks here, don't take this job, trust what I'm saying because I can speak for everyone." Grow up a little and maybe you'll figure out how to turn those types of situations into something you can benefit from. Good luck with that!

Well now the existing force that was going to be focusing on Lexi is not, and will focus instead on lantus and apidra. That was the whole reason for the contract force, no?

Short answer: Its Not Good.
