Probably one of the big problems with Valeant. Valeant should be a pure Pharma play to be more efficient but owns a business it is not an expert in.

Who cares ...Pharma Schmarma! We all have a job and pharma doesn't make you better but your silly attitude is pretty elitist. SO FUNNY...I've been in Pharma and other occupatuons. I am thrilled to sell contacts and solutions to ODs. Platinum Club and Sales Excelence.. the difference between you and me? I would be very nice to you if we met up at the same account...knowing we were both doing our jobs and showing up as a team. There is room for everyone. We are all riding the gravy train together until the wheels fall off with Valeant. So be nice ot leave.
 






It's pharma and the tie to big pharma parent company Valeant that will bring down the Bausch & Lomb name with it. B+L has a long history and brand involving so much more than pharma. The same smug, cocky and illegal methods Valeant has used in pharma it tried to use in contact lenses. Timing didn't help but the move and especially the execution in the specialty lens market was nothing short of idiotic. True that B+L was in decline long before Valeant picked it up but Valeant will bury it once and for all. J&J was disruptive with disposables and B+L didn't see it coming or accept it long after they entered the market. Again J&J will bury the one good thing going with Ultra soon. A great American brand will soon no longer exist thanks to Valeant.

If you READ the post with you head out of your ass, the poster specifies that it does not mean you are not as good or important, this is the board for pharma. There are other forums. There are forums for marketing, surgical, device, R & D. Learn how to use the site! We all work together. Some of you are like Optometrists with a constant chip on your shoulder. Don't be so thin skinned.

We've still lost some reps but not as many as other divisions.

Wow, this was obviously written by one of the new reps. What product(s) does B+L Surgical have in the pipeline? CTR doesn't qualify as a "new" product and counting all the dead weight, 15 year+ B+L diehards is hardly reflective of the field sales force.
