So, how much did you make on your stock?

If we all waited until the company was purchased, we all made exactly 43% more then we would have made had we sold the stock the day before the purchase was agreed to. It's that simple.

I bought a lot and took advantage of all stock discounts, grants and acquisitions that were afforded to us since joining the company. I did well. Very well.

Thank you Gerry, Julie and the rest of the executive management team. I sad I no longer have a job, but I made at least 10 years worth of salary on the sale. I'm happy.

I was lucky. Made it through the layoff of 2010. Got nice options every year. Did the payroll additional stock as well at times.

Funny, the Salix people kind of look down on us like they make all this money. They are clueless. Most people who were here a while walked away with a million or more before taxes. I ended up with $1,244,000. After taxes was around $720,000. Hopefully Santarus took out enough in taxes. I guess I'll find out next year. Might owe another 20k at the most.

Met my team in Vegas. My new Salix counterpart was kind of talking down to me on one of our breaks. Said...you Santarus people will find out what making money is like here. His chest all puffed out like he was all bad ass. Bragged that they just leased a new Honda Oddesy Van with all the options. Then said....dude, my salary alone is over $90k. I thought he was going to cry when I showed him pics of my New 700 Series BMW......politely mentioned that I paid cash, and his puffed up chest about caved in when I told him my freaking salary at Santarus was $110 and Salix matched it. I think I'll let him know about my stock at our next meeting.......if necessary.

Nice! These salix reps need to be talked down to earth. I made two year's salary after being there for two years. Not bad!

I knew a woman who once won $3 million in a lottery game. I asked if she still planned to work and she said "sure, but with a whole different attitude." Congratulations on your gains. You deserve it!

I call BS...I've been here since the beginning, never sold anything, maxed out espp and I made no where near that gross or net. To gross $1.244M you would have had to have 38,875 shares at a $0 cost basis...there is no way you amassed that many shares in 10 years and clearly you did not have a cost basis of $0 so my guess is you would have needed around 47000 shares to gross $1.2...heck some of our options were in the 9's and 10's! I made nice money but no where near $1.2 gross. I think you are exaggerating a bit my friend...

Well...you are wrong. I started in 2006. Won Pres Club numerous times which gave me additional stock. Plus, when we were at $1.65 in 2010, I increased my ESPP payroll deductions. It was a risk as the company was on thin ice. I grossed 1.5 m. Most of my friends did the same.

Easily possible. I started January 07. Won Pres Club 3 times which awarded me extra shares. Plus if you were awarded Pinnacle on your annual review you got even more extra shares...which I got 4 years in a row. Also promoted to Senior Sales Specialist which was even more. I took advantage of payroll ded. Heavily. I was 1.1 mil. Imagine if I started on 05!

All you had to do was take advantage of payroll ded. I got tons of stock dirt cheap after the crash in 08 and again all through 2010-2012. We just payed off our house and bought the wife a new car. Wahoo!

I am so jealous. Seriously. I would love to get in on a start-up and reap the kind of rewards you all did. I was at Santarus only 1 year... And unfortunately it was actually through inVentiv. I know I was just as good, just as experienced and worked just as hard as my Santarus counterpart, but obviously had a lower salary and 0 options. Oh well. It was still a good experience and I still liked my counterpart, liked my boss and loved launching Uceris.

Now I've been retained by Salix and it's not the same. I'm also at a much lower salary because we were all kept at the same salary. If they don't make any adjustments I know they are going to lose good people. I settled for it at Santarus because I at least liked my situation and that's the way it goes with contract salary, but I also knew my DM and RD would roll me over when/if they could and then I'd get the bump, etc. Who knew it would all end so soon?! Congrats to all who came out of it so nicely!!!

God bless you. We loved our inventiv counterparts

These people are full of it! There was a annual cap on how much of your paycheck could go to ESPP and even with stock awards for performance you would not have amassed enough shares as it only sold for $32. Wasn't like it sold for $100! It's a nice story and if you are trying to sound like you made that's fine but your numbers are greatly exaggerated.

Well I did. Obviously you were clueless as to how to buy shares.I started in 06 and grossed 1.5

I call BS on the fact that you're saying you're Santaurs legacy. If you were truly here "since the beginning" you'd know for a fact that you would've had the chance to take advantage of buying the stock when it fell below $2 a share. Those of us that did are sitting quite nicely, thank you very much.

Now go somewhere and sit and finish drinking your Hater-Ade.
