Think this can be done on zoom . So many people will get sick whether very sick or not it will just hurt the launch . It would be more productive to have employees that are healthy . Shoving us all in the same room together doesn’t seem like a wonderful idea .
Coming from a vaccinated person not scared of covid just thinking logically .
 



What is management thinking? Even if you are vaccinated you can still get covid and transmit it to someone else. This is insane having an in person meeting. We are still in the middle of a pandemic. I can't believe Japan would allow this to happen as well. There is no way that people will not end up getting sick. Traveling there as well as bringing people from all over the country together. Get smarter Kowa management. I would ask what you are thinking but obviously you aren't!
 



There really is no need to have live meetings anymore. If there was no zoom, one could argue that business requires a live meeting, but there is zoom, teams, Google, etc.
 





















Who is saying we cant do our jobs well without a live meeting ? We are just saying a week long meeting in closed spaces during a pandemic isnt a great idea . We are all excited to launch this product and can do training with managers or through zoom . Just doesnt seem smart to put everyone in such an uncomfortable spot . Most offices are limiting reps and going more virtual . We arent lazy and did not create this pandemic . No one wants this anymore . Lets just be logical without politics or judgement.

Okay management, what is the decision? Just change to virtual and everyone will be safe and happy! We will rock this product!! You will see, even with a virtual launch we can do it!!
 






The whole workforce is changing. Bringing in new reps won't change the fact that employees aren't interested in traveling any more. Live meetings aren't needed at all, but employers feel like it's necessary. It's not motivating and hasn't been for years anyway. It's more of an inconvenience. Look at other company threads and you'll see this is consistent across the industry. Its clear that there isn't value of flying/live meetings in the digital age. Look outside of our industry and note the greatest transformations being made in the workplace: changing priorities, more remote work, less travel, less stress, and more. Listen to your employees and adapt. Or be cut throat and make your employees fear you, despise you, and ultimately quit anyway.
