In HQ its been discussed and it will be in stages. Not all teams will be affected at once. It won't be one cut per team either. AZ will look more like it did prior to the 2000 expansion. Start looking. Now.

No. We want our Q3 numbers! Mush you huskies!! Be afraid be very afraid. If you go on vacation and can't be contacted...no job when you get back.So very sad and depressing. Those of us who saw the optimism that once existed are so very lucky. I have many fond memories! I hope that the bloodletting is quick, soon, fair and equitable. I'd like to enjoy my summer.
PC and CVAS first, end of quarter. Diabetes end of year and CNS next year. Start looking. Package won't mean much when you are unemployed.
what about the five year vesting for retirement plan. Will they waive that if you are just under five years? Many of the BMS diabetes people fall into this category. It would suck to forfeit all of that money due to layoff.

Sounds pretty neat and convincing , almost got me to bite, but the Frenchmen wants 1 billion plus that's about 8 thousands reps and personal , no way he's not touching bloated diabetes!Upper Management is having a meeting tomorrow where plans will be discussed in greater detail. Each division will then have separate calls to find out how this affects them. Diabetes call is later this week. DBMs will be re-mapped and districts will be bigger. Reps will barely be affected. As the French say "C'est la vie".
Do you know if they are also cutting contract teams? In HQ its been discussed and it will be in stages. Not all teams will be affected at once. It won't be one cut per team either. AZ will look more like it did prior to the 2000 expansion. Start looking. Now.

Right and don't be surprised to see contract stay and AZ reps go. Cost saving in personnel expenses.
This is the dirty little secret that AZ will try to spin or hide that they are moving to a mostly contract sales force. That will not look good. The people will scream that this is another example of losing full time employment and good jobs at the expense of outsourcing. AZ will say they are managing costs in order to hold down the cost of medicines. What a total crock of skunk puke.
