Acquisition was always the plan for SkinMedica since changing out the leadership team in 2008. That's when the belt tightened on passing out shares as well (unless you were a VP or higher). Those guys had an amazing pay day in 2012.

I couldn't be happier seeing all of these skm people go. It is about time. I've never seen a company run by a bigger group of stubborn arrogant idiots.
Hopefully they negotiated high stock options. We all know the old SKM exec team, now at Colorescience, is just ramping the company up to sell off and make a big pay day.
If they did get stock options it's better than what AGN does for the majority of their employees. People are leaving to go to better places bc SKM is a nightmare and will get worse what ever happens next with Val, Sal, ect.
Go figure, the SKM legacy management followed HG and Mary to Colorscience. What a bad move. What ran SKM into the ground will now run what's left of Colorscience into the ground. It's the SKM management team all over again. The saga continues. It didn't work for SKM and it won't work for Colorscience. I would never work for either company. Allergan is just as greedy and selfish as SKM. What a horrible joke of a company to work for. They let SKM do whatever they wanted to the first year they bought them. So many great reps were pushed out due to the toxic work environment and then they cleaned house a little too late. You got rid of so many great employees. They ran SKM right into the bank, as was always planned to do since the existing ece team came on. CS will be the same way. Drive for fast revenue growth so you can sell for top dollar in the next 2-3 years.
Both SKM & CS were never built to be long lasting companies. They are built to be acquired and pay out everyone with big checks.
