Share your stories of Novartis' lack of respect for you

Contract has definitely done more harm than good. The contract rep is screwed by its own company. The customer or manufacturer is screwed by misdirected finger pointing. As a result they dont get their roi. The only winners are the contract company exec team. With contract companies out of the way direct positions will probably start opening up. This would be a true win win. To those complaining about salary. My friend just got hired by lilly. He earning in the 50s.

If youre still here from launch what does that say about you. Must not have motivation and probably not working. Who would voluntarily stay with a company that takes a chunck of their pay if they were out there hustling or even working 50%. Nevermind the terrible benefits. Amazing. At the meeting we had some folks bragging that theyve been on the contract from the beginning. Not knowing thats nothing to brag about. Embarassing.
Sorry you were let go

Sorry you were let go

Sad. So sad. You must still be on the contract and ignorant to PDIs structure. Im with a direct, night and day, and for the better. Just on the benefits side, the generous 401k is huge. Sad. Good luck to you. Walmart is waiting for you. Its inevitable for the likes of you. Ohhhhhh, better stock up on the can goods. Good luck.

My manager has gone through 8 PDI reps in less than 3 years, all because he treats us like we know nothing, shows almost contempt for us, and pushes us as hard as the Novartis reps. Doesn't he understand we make $30,000 less than our counterparts (if not more)???

Great example of ignorance. You need to be fired. No other contract will want you. Youll see!

I do need this bridge while I'm looking and interviewing. Unfortunately, many of my contract co-workers still don't get it. Whether in a restaurant, store, lockheed martin, etc. Can you imagine the vendor telling the customer their demands? Why do you suppose your complaints of Novartis fall on deaf ears with PDI mgmt? They are not going to look like bafoons in front of the customer. They want to keep the contract active.

Because you are not equals. PDI is NOT the customer here. I can hire my son and a 3rd party to shovel snow, alternating days. Will they be treated equally?[/QUOTE

Of course they won't be treated the same, but if you're half-way smart (and NVS is NOT), you would treat the "3rd party" with an ounce of respect. That's only if you want them to do a good job. In fact, if you make fun of the 3rd party, I would say you're just absolutely idiotic!! After all, you have a job and you're paying to have it done well. But, that's only if you want the job done well.

And they probably want you distracted so that they dont have to addrss that youre underpaid because of them. They rather you think its the manufacturer fault. We should be asking more direct and specific questions. What % of our salary does PDI take?

Just know. Even though PDI took a large portion of your salary, your w2 doesnt reflect it. On applications i had to put the compromised number. On interviews they dont want to hear it. So, just to let you, going contract can set some back. If your pre PDI salary was higher.

National Sales Meeting--Need I say more? We're overlooked, underpaid, and certainly under appreciated!!

This is toxic thinking. Nothing to gain. Folks like this mislead the naive. If youve hinted this to your manager, theres already a red flag on you. BECAUSE you are not the customer and you are not a direct employee.

True. The PDI reps who understood the truth have since been rolled over. They took each field ride as an interview opportunity to showcase thier resume in action with zero whining to the customer. Not a single complaint! Using all that precious time and opportunity meaningfully.

Very good point! Same reps that will not go into a new territory. Harder to fake it during field rides.

No one had been rolled over what are you smoking? Or, this is HR trying to continue the lies.

They always say that the best Reps leave first when the Company starts to sour. Well this has happened a long time ago during the first year. It was estimated that 50-70% of the Original reps left during the 1st year. PDI in their infinite wisdom lost most of their best most loyal employees during this time. So anyone still here or have replaced open territories is literally 2nd or even 3rd choice Reps. The individuals here enjoy the bad treatment because you all know what was going on when you accepted the open territories. Everyone was talking about it on CP!! You are all a bunch of whiners and complainers while enjoying treated badly. You literally don't care if people disrespect you becasue you signed up for it! Either get some self respect and leave or enjoy what most people are able to get away w/ w/ you and that is being treated poorly.

The best!!
