Severance decent?













I hope BMS took care of their employees. Heard august 18th last day and 6 months

Severed headquarter employees were treated superior to the field with 90days on payroll before their severance kicks in. Field only gets 2 weeks. 2 weeks!! Why such a difference? I thought you said we were all BMS? It is truly IMPOSSIBLE to do go through the 3-4 interviews in 2 weeks. Plus we have people on vacation and out of the country that will have no chance at all. What happened to fairness and equality? Clearly you were hoping we would not find out. Our senior leadership is dishonest and deplorable, you are leaders in NAME only.
 








I’m disgusted BMS isn’t keeping field sales on payroll for a few months. Even AZ, a company I deplore, had given employees a few months. Executives cashed out millions in stock the past few months and receivei a hefty salary. What a bunch of assholes!

last year the Orencia field received many months on payroll to provide time and opportunity to fairly interview, for some unknown reason, they are changing the policy for ONLY THE FIELD this time.

Inconsistent, unfair, and simply cruel. Especially when the internal employees are receiving that opportunity during the SAME LAYOFFS. This is well below the industry standard, not to mention, well below the BMS standard.

That’s too bad because the PPK home office are the low hanging fruit. They push the real work to ZS while middle management does nothing but forward emails and grandstand at meetings. They watched one too many videos on how to appear more alpha by interrupting others. Backstabbing fast talkers with no tangible skillset. MBAs who can’t even spell.

Reps won’t be putting in much extra effort and certainly won’t trust leadership

Obviously they found some cheap and shady loophole this time because our incompetent leadership have to lie and cheat because they have to hide their are running our company into the ground

It’s determined based on the act’s principle of “establishment” meaning it pertains only if you report to a continuous work site within the state of New Jersey, which you don’t
 




Think this is an issue that may need to be decided by the courts since the layoffs appear to have been disguised to circumvent the Act.

"In addition, the amendments contain language stating that the 50-or-more-employees calculation must include not only those employees working “at” a New Jersey establishment, but those “reporting to” the establishment. Plaintiffs’ attorneys are expected to argue that this means that any remote or field employees reporting into New Jersey locations must count towards the 50 or more employees needed for a triggering event – another issue that will likely need to be resolved by the courts."

In essence may not live there but do report into New Jersey whether directly or indirectly.
