SEPRAFILM HELP!

I'm a patient that had Seprafilm placed in colon surgery. Insurance company (Aetna) won't reimburse for it. Hospital wants me to pay $2147 out of pocket for it. After reading this thread, I see one reason why such charges are out of control....paying comissions for non-value adding sales guys to babysit the surgeon and arrange tee times. I can't believe you guys post this kind of stuff in a open forum...i'd be ashamed to admit it...what a screwed up system.

The Sepra gig is a good job. No matter what anyone on this board says, it is a good product that works and has a relatively loyal surgeon following. It has been on the market for quite a while but selling it well still pays good money. I know numerous folks still pretty happy to be there

If your selling off label you better watch out. The numbers are attainable as long as you are capable of working everyday. If you want a cush job this is probably not it. The reward is there and the money can be good. In the end if you can sell this product is pretty easy to master and keep growing you number.

Really? Where is all the growth coming from? C-Sections? Let's face it, our product is dead and it's becoming increasing difficult to gain access to the OR and Labor and Delivery suites due to the fact that the product has been out so long, and the staff doesn't want us in there. I feel like such a jackass when the nurses ask me "why are you here?" "Oh, I am here to show Dr. Smith new novel techniques for placing seprafilm." What a joke. The people in the company that are still crushing it are definitely still selling slurry! There is no other way to explain their outrageous growth.

If you're desperate for a job to feed your family then maybe, if not, then don't walk, but run away from this job!
